Early Access Review
Gunfire Reborn accomplishes a lot of what you'd expect from a typical rouge-like and more. It already has a lot to offer. Since this game is still in Early Access and the developers are working hard and well to provide new content, this game is well worth its price.

  • Simple and easy to pick up. Better with a friend.
  • Addictive gameplay loop. Unlocking new weapons and scrolls (items that grant passive bonuses) feel exciting. Permanent upgrades feel meaningful and impact gameplay greatly.
  • Wonderful art style. Enemies look interesting and are easily recognizable. Environments look unique from each other. The weapons are creative and have satisfying animations.
  • Soundtrack compliments the game well but is forgettable at some moments.
  • Balancing is good overall. Each weapon feels good to use and the heroes you can choose to play as have their own unique abilities and play style. However, there are moments where "X" feels better/stronger than "Y" at some times, which is inevitable. One thing to note: weapons have random modifiers, such as more crit damage or faster reload speed, called Inscriptions. Depending on what inscription(s) a weapon has, it can really make or break its performance. Each weapon Gunfire Reborn has to offer will never feel unusable, though inscriptions will heavily determine if a weapon will be better than others or not.

Overall, this game is a blast. What Gunfire Reborn offers for its price tag is a definite steal!

Far Cry 5 doesn't stray too far away from the Far Cry formula we're all familiar with, so the gameplay should feel really familiar if you've played Far Cry 3 and after. But this means you'll probably get very bored of this game very quickly.

  • The scenery is beautiful, taking place in rural Montana, USA. A nice contrast from the Himalayas in Far Cry 4, the tropical Rock Islands in Far Cry 3, etc.
  • The NPCs are charming, however, only a handful of them are memorable. Same goes for the side quests - they're plentiful and fun but I can only vividly remember a select few.
  • The guns feel nice, but most, if not all of them, end up feeling like a re-skinned version of each other.
  • The main story is serviceable but can get annoying with its forced progression.
  • Co-op is fun and the buddy system is improved (guns/fangs for hire).
  • Side missions feel really menial and repetitive after long play sessions.
  • Amazing soundtrack. Fits the setting to a T and sets the tone perfectly. Whether it be the loading screen, main menu, or combat, you'll be in for a treat. Definitely the highlight of the game.

Overall, it's an alright experience. Buy it when it's on sale. I really recommend playing through Far Cry 5 with a friend for maximum fun value. If you're looking for anything new or different, you'll have better luck playing Far Cry: Primal.

It's a simple and visually pleasing tower defense game that you can sink hours into without realizing it.

Cyberpunk is amazing when you take it for what it is. Its combat and stealth mechanics are basic but enjoyable. Its driving mechanics are decent at best ( all we ask for is a zoomed out mini map ). The crafting system could be better. When you immerse yourself in the world and its characters, sit through the extra dialogue and read through the various text logs found throughout Night City, you can tell that there's a lot of passion put into this game. It has so much to offer. But that doesn't excuse its downsides. The buggy AI, the major and minor bugs that are in the game, and the feeling that the game feels unfinished makes it fall short of becoming a phenomenal game. Combined with the over hyping and misleading marketing, with all the advertisement for the game on consoles that can't run it optimally and the trailers making it seem like a pure action game rather than an Action RPG with a plethora of dialogue and text logs, similar to games from the Deus Ex series, Cyberpunk 2077 unfortunately was doomed from the start and the hype train came to an abrupt stop when it didn't meet a lot of people's expectations. Only time will tell what will become of this game in the future. Either CD will pull through and deliver or cover Cyberpunk 2077 in band-aids over time and call it a day. I hope for the former.

TLDR: Game is good and enjoyable if you can laugh off T-posing and flying cars but desperately needs work to reach its full potential.

P.S. Optimization seems to be a case by case basis. I suppose I'm lucky enough to have consistent excellent performance when playing Cyberpunk 2077.
