Game is extremely fun, for a free game there's really not much to complain about.

There are a few small bugs, but they are actively patching them on a week to week basis. This game is great, don't let the reviews trick you into not trying it. give it a TRY, it is a great game.

I find it faster paced than tarkov, you easily drop in, look around, loot, evacuate.
Gun -play feels fine, it's guns, they take some skill, nothing new and innovative, but it's fun.

Split screen multiplayer is just so stupid, after reading the update log it just sounds like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuses.

Note: It should be known that toribash hasn't been on steam it's whole lifetime, so my hours are more around the 3k mark, moving on :]. I'll add on-to the review over time. I don't care to polish it mostly.

You rip other players bodies to shreds, what more is there to do you say?

Toribash is a turn-based fighting game, and don't let this discourage you because NO OTHER game can do it better. It truly isn't a one-mode game with inconsistent gameplay. Their's thousands of mods to choose from with its own boundaries and mod settings which bring an entirely new experience, even if you play thousands of hours, you'll truly never be able to experience the whole game as it's meant to be.

It's hard, and it takes time. But anyone can do it, an hour a day, and after a month, you'll finally understand what to do. From there, you can explore mods no holds barred. Some range from parkour, sparring(realism), martial arts such as taikwondo, ninjutsu, aikido or swords, boxing and so on.

Your in-game account is also automatically connected to its forums, As such, you can buy yourself joint-specific colors and variations, attend in-game events for a chance of rewards and general community affairs for texturing, modding, scripting or marketing.

Clans are also a huge part of toribash, although the games died down a lot, clans can still be seen everywhere. Usually being based around aikido, but many, including myself, also have clans for mods they whole-heartedly enjoy, for me, that's boxing.

Bettings servers come every now and then, they used to be very popular back in the day. If you want to test your luck on the better fighter to earn some quick cash, you can go for it.

All in all, toribash is a fresh experience away from the repetitive bullcrap seen from other games this age. It's a dying breed of gameplay, and soon enough toribash will die. However, hampa just released news that he's working on the next version, [Toribash Next]. Hopefully the community comes together again to revive a great nostalgic game for what it is.
