Easy to pick up and fun to try new strategies with different jokes. Beware though you will lose multiple hours to this game without even thinking about it. I played 6 hours on the first day and I've been playing at least another 2 today and it just sucks you right in.

For someone like me that is a huge WW2 buff this game is like candy. Granted I am still learning the deeper complexities of a lot of the systems but the mere idea of either A following history but forging attacks differently or B just saying screw it and going in a completely different direction is very appealing.

I would highly recommend that if you haven't played HOI or similar games from paradox such as Europa Universalis before that you watch some tutorial videos on youtube. This game has a LOT of things to consider and can easily be overwhelming for someone not familiar with how paradox designs their grand strategy games.

I would also highly recommend buying at least a few of the DLC as the base game while it will work makes some countries very weak and/or makes their focus trees not as deep as they could be.

Personally I'd say this is well worth the price (especially on sale) I bought Waking the Tiger and Death or Dishonour right off the bat and just acquired Together for victory.

My advice is watch a lot of tutorials before diving in and then look at what countries most interest you and buy the DLC to improve those countries.

I'd give this game a solid 8/10 the tutorial could be much deeper and could easily avoid having to go and watch hours of videos and some of the mechanics are a little hard to grasp at first but in the end it's a rewarding experience if you're willing to put in the time to learn it.

Tons of fun, great pinball realism, great physics and a TON of real life tables as well as some great creations.
If you like pinball just buy it. I'd recommend waiting for a steam sale to buy large packs of tables though.

Absolutely amazing single player campaign and the multiplayer is lots of fun.

Runs amazing maxed out on my rig with an FX6300,8GB of RAM and an RX460 nitro

Runs well on my laptop with a 960m i5 6300HQ 8GB of RAM on medium settings with 70 percent resolution scale with res set to 1080p

Only major ding is the glitch that can happen where your saves get eaten ie you've never touched the console or dev mode and the save corrupts saying it's in dev mode and won't let you continue so you have to restart all over again for the campaign.

Had the above scenario happen to me. Best advice I can give is to frequently back up the saves folder.

out of 10 I'd give it a 9/10 due to the game breaking bug. I hope some day it's patched.

Neat concept. Really like the fact I can actually open programs in windows even outside of steam so it's useful as a mouse alternative even outside of gaming. Bit of a learning curve for games like shooters but certain games for my like Gauntlet or Civ 5 this works amazingly well.

I'd say for some games this is the ticket for others an XBox 360 controller may work better. If you're willing to spend the time mapping keyboard commands or find a pre made config that's comfy this is easily worth the $60 CDN + tax.

Great fun for the low price I picked it up for. Reminds me of an old game similar to this that was 2D I used to play back in high school so some very very fond memories brought back. Way better value then Trials Fusion though also MUCH MUCH harder. A lof the user created tracks are damn near impossible but it's fun to try and see if you can beat them anyways. For $5.50 CDN it was a complete SCORE!

Absolutely amazing game. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the classic Gauntlet games from both the 80's and the more modern era (Gauntlet Legends in the arcade and N64 come to mind) I personally found it was very very similar to Gauntlet Legends with the top down perspective being slightly different but nonetheless welcoming. Well worth the $19.99 I paid for it on preorder. Only thing I think is silly about this game is that the items in the loadout section do NOTHING for your character but make them look cool. Where you want to focus your money is the relics. In the older games the loadouts would be different weapons and such to improve your character but not here seems almost like the prestige system from COD to me. Overall I'd give it a 4/5 5 being if it was actually possible to get new weapons rather than have to rely on relics which takes potions to power to boost your character.
