This the best total war game if you're willing to buy all the dlc and have a good computer. The good news is it's often on sale and has been out long enough for steam keys to be readily available. Pick it up with warhammer one so you can play the mortal empires campaign.

Pricing issues aside, this is the best total war experience available on the market right now (in my opinion). Pick up the main game and a dlc or two during the steam winter sale. As rough as the launch was, the game with immortal empires and/or mods is about as good as (or better) than any other total war game. As a bonus, this is the only total war game where both nuclear missiles horse cavalry could be fighting at the same time in the same battle. Long live the rats

The game is pretty old now, but still plays great. Put a lot of hours into this one as a kid, still find it addicting as an adult.
