I love this game. It has stunning visual style, it has fun gameplay mechanics, it has good music, it has interesting character designs I wish I could see in more detail (e.g. non-chibi illustrations).
I don't think I have any complaints with it in any respect.

I'm mostly reviewing this game for the steam awards, but this game has been... frustrating and confusing, compelling and engaging, fun and enjoyable, all at the same time. There's a steep, steep steep STEEP learning curve. But it is a genuinely robust management sim with enjoyable art and it's easy to become immersed. That feeling of course makes it all the more frustrating when you take a sudden nose dive into bankruptcy because of the path that *seems* like progression being the quickest and easiest way to not rake in any funds at all.

My biggest most sage advice for anyone who is playing or wants to play this game: CDs mean NO digital sales; Digital sales have no cap on the numbers you can sell.

A heartful and enjoyable RPG game. Somewhat more lighthearted than I had anticipated from the store page, but not in a bad way. Really good game.

I ADORED Princess Remedy In A World Of Hurt. Unfortunately, this felt like a huge mess of design mishaps and a downgrade from the first game in terms of execution.

In the original game, Remedy's hitbox was her entire sprite. This was straight-forward and didn't cause any confusion. In this sequel, the hitbox is significantly more ambiguous. I'm still not exactly sure what it is, but I assume it's her eyes, since that's where your shots come from. This makes it way harder to tell what's going on when facing upwards, since the character's eyes aren't visible.

The first game had several enemies, each of which all had their own unique pattern of attack and movement. This game keeps many of the same enemies (with adjusted sprites, but they still look mostly the same) but adds enemies that have redundant behaviours.

Additionally, the first three boss fights rely on additionals (normal enemies just added into the fight) for a sort of artificial difficulty and incorporate too many background sprites. Specifically the third boss is the most egregious offender, where it's initially unclear what is and isn't going to block your path and the screen is visually too busy to tell what's going on thanks to the fast-moving adds that constantly spew bullets and the background elements being generally all-over.

If this were a game where one could control the direction of your shots independent of your movement, the first three bosses having additionals (rather than actually changing attack patterns) would be less of a gripe design wise. Every boss afterwards is an actually fun and interesting boss design both visually and gameplay wise; movement areas aren't unnecessarily cluttered by background sprites and additionals are both more thematically included and feel more organically part of the boss fight.

Even certain areas in the towns and overworlds feel like sprites and colours were used too liberally, the 'limited palette' look from the original game being sort of disregarded to add as many specific colours to certain items just wherever. This is however less of a problem as it doesn't directly affect gameplay, but it still makes certain areas seem weirdly out of place.

It it nice however to see NPCs such as the girl who thought she was a rock, jealous chest, and a few others return from the first game to this one.

Overall, this game feels like a let down as a sequel due to some design choices that probably weren't exactly necessary. Aside from the sort-of new enemies that just act like reskins of old ones that are still actually in this game, and some town and overworld designs that provide visual clutter, as well as visually cluttered boss fights.

Overall, if you haven't played "Princess Remedy In A World Of Hurt", you'll probably adore this game for its charm. If you're coming off the coattails of the first game, you'll still absolutely adore this game, since it's just more of the same. But I personally couldn't enjoy this, and found Remedy's first game to be all around better for both gameplay and charm.

Also, I checked the "Recieved for free" box because I snagged this game while it was 100% off for a short time.

I love this game. I love the expansive modding community this game has. I love the atmosphere, the wonderful amount of customization, and almost everything else about this game.

Don't Starve Together is a must-have for anyone who enjoys sandbox games. Even if you're just playing solo, it is a delightful world you can call your own. Customization for world creation allows for you to hand-craft your experience; you can increase or decrease spawn rates of almost everything in the base game, a feature useful for those less skilled or those who just want to play a calming sandbox game-- or those who want an even more challenging experience!

The world of Don't Starve, and especially Don't Starve Together, is a beautifully alive world. Despite the greyish hues and gloomy vibe, each part of the day changes the behaviour of both passive and hostile mobs. Mobs interact with eachother even when you're not watching, as well, giving the world a very organic, alive-feeling atmosphere.

The game can be frustrating at times, such as bad RNG ending your life when you're making good progress, unfavourable spawns leading to inhospitable locations to live, or other annoyances such as spider queens just making your life hell. Despite these things, it's not a frustrating or bad game. It's by no means flawless but it is still an absolute treat.

I also mentioned the mod community earlier; it is phenomenal. From simple tweaks to item spawn rates to complete overhauls of the game, the people who mod this game are absolutely amazing. International creators work hard to create an enhanced experience for others, and most interests you may have may somehow be incorporated into this game through modding. Some must-have mods include the Minimap, Extended Status, and Item Tooltips mod.

Overall, this is an amazing game. I cannot reccomend it enough.

I've lost control of my life because of this game. So good.

Edit 1/5/2018: Okay, a serious review now. This game is probably one of my immediate go-to games with my friends. You can go with a wide variety of characters (even if you don't have dlc) and you can do more than one kind of playstyle. I've bought all the DLC now and bought it for a few of my friends so that we can enjoy it together. It's one of my favourites of all time, honestly, and I've sunk over 100 hours into this game. Over all, I really love 100% Orange Juice. It's one of my favourites, and it's made me interested in the rest of the Orange Juice franchise, too. There's a huge number of colorful characters (both design- and personality-wise!) and it's hours of fun and even if you walk away from a game feeling salty, you still will have had fun after you come away from it, and likely find yourself coming back for more.

You play as a pink pimp fox. I'm not even kidding. You basically throw poor Ceri around like a cheap hooker, and she loves it. It's also really cute how much Sylvi completely adores you, and you just... are wholly indiferent to the kid.
I'm like, maybe 10 hours deep right now? Probably more? Either way, I'm head-over heels. I reccomend getting the uncensor patch for the full Wild Ride™ experience that this game really is. Holy cow.

Overall? A fun, if not slightly easy game, meant for cruising through and having a good time. If you're looking for challenge, maybe run through it on Abyssal but otherwise it's just meant for fun and boobies.

So first things first: I love this game. It is a high-quality game that, since it is in Early-Access, is pretty much amazing and I have a lot of hopes for it.

Now, that said, I want to talk about gameplay. The game is fast, fun, and easy to learn.
You will latch onto a favourite playstyle very quickly.

Gameplay is fun and fast-paced but occasionally suffers from being a little TOO quick and making you lose your combo, not able to turn around, or steal someone else's kill.

Ruby is a bit hard to describe but she plays very forward momentum-based and overall is an easy starter character.
Weiss is very floaty in just about anything she does, so if you don't like floaty, she's not the one, but she's no more difficult to learn than Yang.
Blake specializes in air combos and pretty much is best suited to focusing on one target at a time, given that she will pick up an enemy and carry it with her. Sometimes you might get stuck on high-up ledges and can "skyrim" up cliffs. She's the one I've spent most time playing and is pretty much my favourite playstyle.
Yang is a character who is also momentum-based, but she has this knockback thing at the end of all of her combos where she kicks an enemy away and if you don't want to switch enemies mid-fight like I do, it's not the easiest, but she is a very versatile and quick character.
