Originally migrated because the game closed due to an error in the middle of the game causing match loss and leave penalties. Now my current version of the program freezes when launching due to a recent patch that's reportedly caused a lot of issues. Normally I'm a fan of this game having played near 1500 hours having started my career around launch and enjoyed the potential. However near everything here has been questionable before this patch with the new hero design and skins / battlepass being the primary factor contributing to the update. New seasons should have new features, new designs. Not breaking the old and removing designs.

Castle decay is the worst mechanic. Not able to get your feet off the ground? Prepare to lose your progress and all your resources nearly every day. Can't be bothered to play more than one day in a row? You're not making progress, all your efforts are put into rebuilding and restocking and suddenly I don't want to play anymore and the next time I log in again it's all gone. Wtf, why is this a feature? Screw FOMO and screw you guys for implementing it.

RIP Team Fortress 2. You've been abandoned for Deadlock.

Abysmal control scheme that you don't allow us to change. A large portion of Tetris is muscle memory, and being able to change the settings to what I'm used to playing as would allow for a much better experience.

Black pieces (with colored highlights, just to clarify) should not exist at all. They blend in with the background tile easily and make peripheral vision difficult to utilize, which is again something that is a major part of playing Tetris. You kinda zone out and take in the whole board at once when you enter flowstate, and having an effect that makes me secondguess whether a piece exists or not makes it impossible to do so. I've had multiple lines I thought were full but actually had a missing slot in it, all because of those black-dominant pieces being so difficult to decipher.

Make these changes and I'll change my review. I'm not asking for hold piece because that's not classic Tetris, and not your game. Just accessibility in the form of vision and control. Both essential for a Tetris title.

A cute little game that may be overpriced for the content included. Probably worth no more than $8, but I enjoyed my time with it.

I personally am enjoying it. The beginning is a bit rough, with very little chance to really text out a class before making the character (you get one preset skill set to play with, which gives you very little information to work on), but the customization you get down the road makes it more enjoyable. You have plenty to do, with a huge map to explore once you unlock sailing, and many small objectives to complete, like dungeons, world bosses, a housing system, and more.

Story sux tho

A genuine 9/10 for me. My main gripes are things with the mechanics - the way badges were handled (having to fit both cosmetic & functional upgrades in 3 slots), fumbling with my powers every few minutes (a combat and exploration loadout would be a godsend), and just overall clunky feeling on mouse + keyboard, mainly for the previous reason.

Otherwise, an incredibly wonderful experience, and a loving sequel to one of the most original games.

The developers decided to forgo local splitscreen co-op, one of the basic features provided within the original HALO games, and the entire reason I even bought this title. Genuinely unacceptable.

You probably already know what's up with this game and whether or not you'd want to buy it. So, I'm going to use this space to clarify why this review is negative: the game doesn't autosave when you get a collectable. If you're in the middle of a map, the game autosaves at specific story points. So if you go out of your way to, say, get a health upgrade collectable at the swamp ship level, and you die/the ship breaks, you get reverted back to a time before you got this upgrade. This makes getting upgrades a hassle rather than a rewarding experience for me personally, and has made me quit multiple times because I was simply no longer having fun. I came back and continued later on, and the game is still fairly decent overall, but this one thing drastically lowered my opinion of it, so take heed.
