Story wise it's the best wargame I have ever played.
Spec Ops The line starts like any other generic modern day shooter (third person spunkgargleweewee) where you are an elite american soldier fighting arab insurgents. The story though changes quickly to something more unique.

Regarding gameplay SO:TL is a normal third person shooter, nothing special here. The obvious focus is on the story and narrative. Even though the game is so centered on the plot it still holds replay value as you listen to all the chatter differently after finishing the game once.


If you are tired of shooters like Call of Duty where you are inhumane emotionless super soldier, almost literally a god of war who just mows down hundreds of young men without any regard, loses one ally to highlight antagonist's evilness, kills the bad guy while epic music plays in the background, saves the day and is crowned a hero. Then this is a game for you. Money well spent, you won't regret it.
