Ok so...I love Elden Ring, convoluted as its story may be its still a magnificent game, Shadow of the Erdtree however...its story is just not good, you really don't get much idea on what you're doing however that can be forgiven as tbh I am more interested to learn about the story through the research of people like VaatiVidya, and before I talk about the biggest issue I have with this expansion I'll just say the positives.

All the new weapons and armour sets look great and feel good to use though I feel one of weapon from each of the new weapon classes should be added to the base game as well if you own the DLC.

The Art direction continues to be absolutely brilliant from the scenery to the bosses themselves, they are all fantastic.

Now for the big problem and no it isnt the difficulty, while I agree the balancing is completely whack its not a big issue, what is a big issue is I feel the DLC does not respect my time, boss and mob move sets and the damage done are fine to learn and avoid however every enemy almost has such an insurmountable amount of health its honestly insane, it took me 20 minutes to kill just a normal dragon boss, an enemy which I've killed many of in a few minutes in base game Elden Ring cus once you know what you're doing they're simple to kill but in Shadow? Nope they have like 5x more health than base game Dragons...I get its supposed to be endgame but when a standard dragon has almost as much if not more health than Placidusax, it feels disrespectful of my time, that the devs are padding out the DLC's playtime to justify charging £35 for it...sorry but unless there is a big balance patch that brings the DLC in line of with the difficulty path of the base game, I'd avoid this

Fun gameplay, ruined by a company past its prime who no longer know how to tell a fun and interesting story, who constantly try to rip you off, who think taking "vaulting" content that you PAID FOR because their hodgepodge engine and game design is struggling to cope with the what 10 or so additional planets they've added over the years.

Here are the facts, Destiny is fun to play, but Bungie are scum, the are a disgrace of what they once were and stood for and I cannot believe that this is the same company that 12 years ago released Halo Reach which was a game solely devoted to giving fans an amazing send off as a thank you for their amazing support for their work and the stories they created. We have all witnessed the transformation of our beloved studios in the last few years from icons of passion and boundary pushing game design, Blizzard, Bethesda, CDPR and now Bungie. Dont support this company, dont play this game.

I like this game, I think if you're a fan of strategy games you should definitely pick it up...however keep note that you will not get an endless amount of play time out of it especially if you're like me and just want to play the campaigns, once you reach November 1918 you will basically get a timer that forces the game to end as it take 100 National will away each month. This is a system I hate...in fact I hate the whole National Will system, I hate the fact that I can't really increase the amount of infantry Corps i have, while there are a few techs that grant more corps and some events that do it, recruitment during WW1 was a constant thing the British army, French, Germans, Russians all were fielding millions of men and this game really doesnt make you feel like thats whats happening, while the terrain in battles does change it doesnt change on the map, so battles where you fight 7 or 8 battles bc taking territory is actually the least optimal way of winning dont actually change how the tiles look on the map.

Personally I think that my main gripe, the National Will system would be fine...if i could turn it off, I was having a lot of fun in my last allied game, i was actually starting to push the Germans back into Germany and then after taking 5 tiles I got to 1916 and the game ended because their National Will hit 0...to say i was a little pissed off is an understatement.

Petroglyph i understand you wanted to make a fairly realistic WW1 strategy game BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN YOU GOTTA KILL MY FUN, thats what this system does, your fun starts to build up, you start winning which makes you wanna play it more and more and then boof, game over.

Please give us the ability to turn off the National will system so we can keep playing the campaign until one side takes the others capital, no matter if it takes 10-20-30 years, this is an A-Historical game, let us have A-historical fun

Early Access Review
So was pretty content playing this even tho it needs a lot of work until...I put a satellite into a near perfect orbit, had some issues with my Kerbal's return vehicle cus I launched it as a manned mission, imagine my shock as I switched to activate the satellite then switch back and suddenly my Damn satellite falls out of orbit and crashes into Kerbin...whats the point in playing this when I cant even get what I put into orbit to STAY in orbit?
