This is an incredible remake of an already phenomenal game. Despite some apprehensions I had pre-release, this game is no mere cashgrab simply trying to make money off of SH2's legacy. This is an honest to god labor of love and the first great Silent Hill game to be released in ages after the original 4 games. The enemies are more aggressive than they were in the original game, the boss fights are more tense, the visuals are absolutely phenomenal even at medium settings, and the sound design and puzzles do a great job of immersing you into the world. There's also quite a few new events and the levels have been redesigned to keep veterans of the original game on their toes.

It isn't perfect, there's your usual Unreal Engine stutters, the in game 30FPS cap isn't perfect unless you use something like Rivatuner Statistics, and while the performances are mostly great there's a quite few instances where the line delivery in the original game is better. Its also a bit too padded compared to the original game, some indoor sections could stand to be shorted a bit. But beyond that it's an excellent survival horror title that's absolutely worth a playthrough, hopefully future Silent Hill games end up close to this level of quality.

While I'm not a huge fan of the new voice acting, on the whole this is a phenomenal way to re-experience the original game. The new visuals are gorgeous and the game thankfully runs well on my low-mid range PC at 1440p, and while that would have been worth the price of admission just on its own, there's a few new changes that make this version worth grabbing. Survivor AI has been greatly improved, there's new camera functions to mess around with, side quests and dialog are now fully voice acted like in Dead Rising 3, there's welcome QoL improvements like being able to move/shoot and track multiple quests at once, and there's even new books that bring fun tweaks to combat.
I'm not sure if this would replace the original as that still looks and plays great at high refresh rates, and its still better suited to game on handhelds like the Steam Deck. But DRDR is still a very nice companion to the original that really breathes life back into this series, here's hoping that this ends up being a new start for it.

For an Early Access title, the game already feels very well polished, with excellent visuals and an incredible soundtrack! If you've been wanting a new Star Fox game but with similar visuals to the original and StarFox 2 (albiet with a better framerate), this game easily fills in the void and then some. It's also lightweight enough to play just fine on a laptop with a Ryzen 5500U.
It also has some great special stages inspired by Space Harrier a scoring system that'll really make you want to replay the levels, what more can you want?

If you're not a huge Atari fan or don't care much for video game history, this collection could be a bit of a hard sell as the games aren't for everyone. But this collection has so much going on that it absolutely justifies its current price tag, with exclusive dev interviews that can be funny or insightful to tune into, flyers and memorabilia, information about the company's highs and lows over the years, and tons of games to explore. It's not just some Rom collection, the interactive museum feeling is great.

The only disappointment is that there's a lot of Jaguar and Lynx games that didn't make the cut. If there's anyway they could work with third party publishers to get the rights to release more games as DLC, that would make an already great collection into an even more fantastic one. But even with that nitpick, this is still a release that is absolutely worth playing.

Its a tiny bit easier than I remember it being as a kid, but as with other Xbox Live indie games like Blood and Bacon, it's still fun to jump back in and replay!

The gameplay shift to a turn-based RPG isn't always perfect and it can be a bit messy at times storywise, but Like a Dragon is still a phenomenal game that's very much worth your time. Fantastic OST, great story, and the characters are easily some of the best of the Yakuza series.

Death Stranding can be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long game that requires quite a time commitment, but I found it to be absolutely rewarding and a breath of fresh air. I was fairly skeptical going in, but this post apocalyptic delivery sim really won me over with its great sci-fi setting and memorable plot. The open world formula feels much improved over MGSV with its harsher dynamic weather conditions, more varied landscapes, greater means of travel and user generated landscapes. It goes well with the game's theme of co-operation, and its always great knowing that everyone is part of this shared journey helping out each other rebuild and retame the game's version of America. And its hard not to fall into a trance with how the game shifts from comfy walking sim to tense action TPS/horror game, especially by Chapter 3 when the game opens up.
Not for everyone, but for those that want something new or love niche games, it is well worth playing.

I did not like Shadowkeep at all at launch and stopped playing after the second season, and I absolutely did NOT go into this expansion with any belief that it'd be good, especially considering the litany of bad news surrounding Year 3 (Weapon sunsetting, content removal, ect). And while I still don't like those changes, as far as the expansion goes I liked it campaign wise since it did something actually interesting with The Darkness considering Shadowkeep's incredibly abrupt ending with the new Stasis abilities, which are fun to mess around with. Europa is sadly barren but I'm a sucker for snowy environments and the Lost Planet-vibe it gives off. Not a fan of old D1 content getting reused still but it's nice to be able to play them with an actually active player count.

That said the new changes in Year 3 so far are awful. Removing content I've basically accepted as inevitable (even though I HATE it as someone that got vanilla D2 at launch), but time will only tell how this hurts this game in the long haul when there's currently less strikes in rotation and modes like Black Armory to mess around in, Sunsetting legendaries like my Breakneck is ♥♥♥♥, because there isn't enough new guns at launch to justify this design change at all, and the reason why we use guns like these still is because most of the new ones just arent interesting or as fun to use. Only 1 new original strike when Shadowkeep had two at least, really?

Its hard to go in-depth with it right now since right now Bungie is still doing the "Drip-fed" content approach, and who knows if the game will improve or devolve over time. $50 CAD for the standard edition without an included season is too high and this will NOT win back lapsed D2 players, but I walked away from BL happy enough that I can see myself recommending it on a sale a few months down the road. Not Forsaken-tier at all but definitely better than Shadowkeep or D2's other expansions.

If you go into RE3 2020 expecting it to be more of a "re-imagining" of the original game and not a remake like RE1 HD, I think you'll have a good time with it. It shares similar story beats with the original game, but it changes them just enough to feel different, better in some ways and worse in others. It is of course short, my first playthrough took me 5 hours and the fastest I've beaten this game was less than 2 hours, but that's par for the course for many survival horror games, and RE3R does give you reasons to come back with unlockable weapons and higher difficulties. Resistance is a fun little side game, but it's struggling to get a playerbase on PC, which is unfortunate.
Certainly not a replacement for OG RE3, it lacks side modes like Mercs and needs more unlockable costumes, and it's missing Live Selections. Additionally, it becomes crushingly linear once you head to the sewers, which is unfortunate, and Nemesis has been somewhat gimped compared to the original game (At least until you get to his boss fights on Nightmare mode, the final fight can get really cheap since he'll one-shot you if you dont have 2 defence+recovery coins). Yet as it is it's still a well polished experience with fun combat and good pacing. Get it for cheap though, like less than 50% off. It's fun, but pricey, and if you're the kind of person that only plays games once it's a tough sell. If you want a more content heavy experience, I'd suggest trying out Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition or Resident Evil 2 2019 first.

Destiny 2 is a great game that improved a ton since launch, and in terms of mechanic improvements, I'd say Shadowkeep is good in that regard if nothing else. From a content/campaign perspective though, Shadowkeep is weak, especially compared to Rise of Iron. Going back to the Moon from D1 is cool, and I genuinely enjoy the more cosmic horror approach the story seems to be headed in (outside of the awful cliffhanger), but the content is boring and kind of reused from various aspects of the Destiny franchise, it feels more like a stop gap for something major than something worthwhile.
It's worth noting that Shadowkeep will apparently have content trickle out trhoughout the seasons, so there's a chance it can improve like Forsaken did with the Annual Pass. But as someone that got the digital deluxe edition, I personally wouldn't recommend it unless you did everything in Forsaken and really need more. And even then if you want this expansion I'd say you should wait for a sale.
