I've played a metric butt-load of games. If you like slow creeping horror... Unique indie art... A small, but full experience... Easy recommendation. Buy it full price, buy it on sale... It doesn't matter as long as you own this game.

A Lovecraft-themed fishing simulator where you play tetris with your catch, upgrade your ship, gain skills, and slowly uncover the truth of the sea you sail in. This game puts you in a world filled with a beautiful art style, solid sound design, and a generally upsetting atmosphere. It's somehow very cozy, and then quite spooky at the same time. It's that creeping dread of the world being not -quite- right.

I really enjoyed the lighthouse you can see from nearly everywhere on the map which is a lovely detail in the dead of night, when everything else is covered by near impenetrable fog. The fact that each cluster of islands has a very distinct theme and flavor in the art and sound is really enjoyable.

The Pale Reach adds a very fun area to the south of the map as well. The fear of what the ice may hide is oh so fun.

There is also a peaceful, anti-spooky mode if all you want is a fishing sim. Lots of cool fish.

Great game and lots of fun. Very difficult to get into at first, and to find the proper character to suit your playing style. However, once you get into the game with a fer tutorials and such, it's a great game to get into.
