Barely recommend because it is fun to play, but is extremely repetitious. Feels like hundreds of times of doing the same things. That gets very tedious, especially since it does not earn you any AC points to upgrade your skills. You do earn points from completing challenges that does increase the level of your character, but no skill points to upgrade melee, weapons, stealth, or health. Which is very frustrating, because no matter how many bad guys you kill, citizens saved, steal, missions, chests opened, and more, still no skill points.

I did not like it at first because of all the cut scenes and long dialogues which did not seem to add that much to the story line. The game becomes more fun after many hours of play and you are able to skip some of the cut scenes and dialogue, because they don't add much to the story. The main character is a mercenary from the badlands going into the city to find work. There is plenty of that with the main story line and many side missions. Some required real thought about how to achieve the mission objective. It was not just running in and killing everyone. There were some glitches in the graphics with walls and floors. I had to restart a few times in one mission because I kept falling through the floor. Most of the missions are very linear and some require waiting a couple of hours or until afternoon, evening, morning, or next day, but you can speed up the clock to sort of fast forward to whatever time it needs to be. Driving dynamics are definitely different with your vehicle choice. Some of the faster ones are harder to handle. Overall the game is fun to play after you get through those first few hours of cut scene and dialogue hell.

Read reviews and many complained it was too easy. I played on regular and was killed many times before successfully completing some missions, so they must have been playing in story mode. The gameplay , missions, and story line are very similar to previous Far Cry's, so I have enjoyed it very much. It does take a long time to play if you are playing many of the side missions. I especially liked the special side mission called 'The Vanishing'. I assume like the previous games, once you clear all the areas and main mission, there will be a boss fight to win the game, so look forward to that. Definitely worth purchasing, especially during the summer sale event at a discounted price.

Very different from most games, but very beautiful background scenery and music. Menus do take some time to become familiar with. It does have quite few cutscenes that contribute to the story, but gameplay is good and mechanics work fairly well. Delivering items may be too repetitiuos for some, but story line will keep you going in spite of that. Can be a little frustrating at times with falls, death, and loss of cargo which makes it challenging. Enemies are best avoided but do sometimes require fighting, which works best with sneak attacks. Probably not for everyone, but is fun to play and challenging at the same time.

It is very linear, but the story line is fine. Definitely a fun FPS and being able to play the character Duke Nukem for Grayson is much more fun with his dialogue.

Just fun to play, but can be tough on higher levels.

I liked the story line of the first game much better, but do not have to grind as much collecting and skinning. Cut scenes are long in the first couple of chapters and have to do a lot of riding. Can progress to fast travel, but still shows cut scene riding to location. More things to do in online play, but haven't played it much. All in all though, it is still fun to play.

This game is much like the original Fallout with tedious running/walking around, very limited amount of items that can be carried, similar missions, but what really makes it bad in this open world environment, is that there are so many people online that will just kill you and then steal your stuff that was dropped upon your death and nothing you can do about it, Way too tedious and no fun at all. I am going back to 4.

Lot of fun, especially on easiest level. I was able to go through all the main missions and several side missions in 20 hours, with about 84% completion. Some side missions left.

Very similar to previous games in series, so easy to learn. Fun and challenging and very good story line. Completed game on easy level and now re-playing on normal. It is harder, especially the animals. Caught a little off guard and died several times fighting them. Definitely had to change strategy and the elite animals are nearly impossible to kill. Took a lot on easy, but direct hits with a rocket launcher barely move their life line and will run out of ammo before even getting close to killing them. A little frustrating, so I just avoid them. Have not played a co-op mission yet and actually never played a co-op mission on any Far Cry. Could never find someone to play with. Definitely should give it try, especially when on sale.
