Really great game! If you liked Portal, you will like this little DLC.
It has the same sort of humour, the puzzles are good, and some quite challenging.

Kickstarted this game, and really like it. There are a ton of classes and combinations you can play. The story takes some time to get through.
Have finished the game only once, but I am on the second playthrough.
Have not played the dlc's, yet. Probably will in the future when they are a bit cheaper.

I did not know anything about this game when I started it for the first time. I did not like the graphics, the name was weird, etc. But I did download it because it did look interesting. It stayed for some months in my library, unplayed.

A few days ago I was looking for a new game to play and my eye fell on this one. I started it, and some some strange movie, with the same weird graphics. Then I started to play and after five minutes I was hooked! There was a bombing and a camera catched someone who is known as a small criminal, in the vicinity.

Your job is to investigate what happened. Who is this woman, is she tied to the bombing, does she have other connections who could know something about the bombing? As you uncover more and more you get a bigger picture of the whole thing.

But why I like this game so much is that the story is really good. When the last chapter started, I just could not stop playing!

The game seems short, but it looks like there are multiple ways the story might progress, so there is some replayability.

9/10

I have played this game for some time, made a break, and now I play it again. So I thought I should give it a positive review.

Having played KF1, which I also liked, I thought KF2 would be even better. Imho, it is. Classes are nice, enemies are creepy. Guns feel good. Ost gives a good feeling and the gameplay, though simple, can be pretty hard.

It is very satisfying to see a big zed (fleshpounder) go down. And it is very scary to turn around and see two more walking towards you... But when then your teammates step in, and you destroy them together, that is the best!

It is possible to go solo from time to time, but it is waaay easier to band together and decapitate the zeds.

A big plus is the developers who still make new content!

Slight downside is the slow leveling when you reach level 10.
Only real downside is the cosmetic loot crates. But I ignore those, they don't add anything to the game.

I have played this game a bit, haven't finished it yet, but I really like it! Here are some thoughts so far:

Pros:
- Characters, Lots of classes and races and skills and stuff ;-).
- Sound, the OST is great, gives a good feeling
- Story, I have not ended the game so far, but their is enough to do and the story is sucking me in.

Cons:
- Graphics, they are a bit dated, but they do get the old school feel right.
- Few bugs. Some things don't work like you would think they would.
- You can't rotate the screen, but it is not really that great of a issue.
- Waiting in combat, a character has to wait to attack depending on the kind of attack he does.

More when I finish.

I have not read the comics nor played part 1. So this review is only about the Darkness II.

In this game you play as Jackie Estacado who is the head of the mafia in New York. He has one advantage over the rest, and that is because he is the host of the Darkness. The Darkness is an old force who likes violence. You can control the power the Darkness grants you. At the beginning of the game you have control of two tentacles with which you can throw heavy objects, slice enemies and eat their hearts. These hearts, and the way how you kill, are what the Darkness wants and gives you XP. Also there are semi-hidden caches which give you XP if you can find them... You can spend XP to gain more abilities. One I really liked was the ability to let out a swarm of flies which will stun (and damage a bit) your enemies.

There are also the usual guns in the game, like pistols, shotguns and machine guns. They are really necessary because as soon as you step into light you can't use the power of the Darkness for that time. As soon as you are in the dark again, you get the power back. Most of the time you can destroy the light sources. Later, even the enemy will carry lights to make you weaker.

The controls are pretty good. It takes a short while to get used to using four arms (two of Jackie and two tentacles) but after some time you get used to it and it almost feels like you have always played like this.

The graphics are really nice, it really gives the feeling you are inside on of the comics. The story is also very good, I was intrigued by it and really wanted to know what was going on.

I have not played the coop in this game, so I can't say anything on that.

One of the things I thought was annoying was that I got stuck a few times, but jumping and strafing eventually got me out.

Since I have only played the single player once and don't have the feeling of replaying it, it does have some replaying value. The hidden caches (relics), a new game+ and the coop make it a game you could play it again. Still, their is not much replay value. It is also very short, as you can see at the amount of hours played. I do recommend the game, get it when it is on sale because the story is so short.

This is not really a game, it is more like an interactive movie. Most of the time you watch what is happening and can choose what you character is saying or what he is doing.

From time to time you have to make really hard decisions that have impact on the rest of the story. For example there are two guys attacked by zombies, you can save only one, which one do you choose? Choices like this make the worthwhile to play it again, but with a different path.

If you liked Heavy Rain you will love this!

Edit:
The story is so good, even after a few years I still talk to people about it. It is that good!

This tower defense game is really great. It is not really hard, but it is very addictive. When it is on sale for like 5 euros, get it, it is wel worth it!
