I bet there's hella people laughing at inside ♥♥♥♥ and all the normies that are diving into this game, but I'm okay with it. I have no idea who any of these vtubers are but I want all their outfits, my house is gonna be dope, my tomatoes are poppin, and there's a new fishing pole with my name on it...... and all of that on top of a gacha pull system using in game currency that has me wanting to catch them all. Oh, and it's a vampire survivor esque action roguelike with huge amounts of variety. Zero risk to check it out, other than getting over how it feels falling for the cat eared people.

Gettin sucked into these runs is feelin' good, feelin' alright. They've got a great flow going and the progressing meta story happening as you get the hang of things is entertaining, engaging, and actually provides in-run benefits. This game is fuggin cool.

Edit: It appears the issue is fixed, it looks like the subscription is handled the way that Steam has been doing it, which is great. Seeing as the issue has been corrected, recommended.

Warning! Do NOT buy gametime through Steam. It will not register on your account and support is backlogged 5 days. They require multiple screenshots and settings adjustments to fix a problem that could take 2 seconds to fix if they'd just streamline the process. Stop treating everyone like they are trying to scam you when they just want to give you money. Should be painless.

Grim Dawn is pretty great. Getting to combine 2 classes (and getting a new class name on top of it) is a great gimmick that allows for some cool build diversity. Some of the item descriptions go on for days as items carry many effects as well as skills, and once you attach the shards, its another set of stats being applied. All of this together makes for some pretty awesome levels of variation and build flexibility. I found my play style changing to take advantage of an awesome new item or ability instead of getting stuck in the static ability combo rotations of many ARPGS. If you like the genre, this is one of the good ones.

Early Access Review
Your task is dethroning Last Epoch. Unfortunately, unless you undergo some major progression changes, I don't know if it can be done. Makes me sad because I love Torchlight 2.

Early Access Review
If you are an ARPG fan, I don't know if I can recommend Last Epoch enough. That is even in its current Early Access state.

The build diversity is awesome. I realized, as I grabbed a notepad and paper to track upgrade paths for future characters, that this was going to be a game that had legs.

Where a large part of this experimentation and flexibility comes from is the skill leveling. You are able to select your class and level a skill tree as expected in the genre, however your skills also have leveling trees. As you level you unlock the ability to specialize in skills of your choosing. When you do that, the skill begins to level and you gain access to a modification tree allowing you to mold the skill to your play style. This has been awesome, and has provided variety similar to what you got with D3 skill modifications but with a lot more player choice, freedom, and flexibility in the builds.

With more classes and mastery classes, more campaign content, and a fleshed out endgame still in the pipeline I feel comfortable recommending Last Epoch to ARPG fans now.

Servers working. Still pretty buggy (enemies not registering damage outside of AOE for example), but a good mesh of Diablo and PoE with some chunky, heavy hitting combat and good visuals. If you are a fan of the ARPG genre, so far this game is quenching the thirst (again, now that its playable).

EDIT: This game never quite seemed to get fixed..... and then I found Last Epoch

Update: With all of the content that has been added to the game, this is an obvious - YES PLEASE! Get your mind smacked around by the beauty that is DD and thank me later :D

This game is hard af. Does not give af what you want. Go f yourself if you want a fair game. This isn't the happiest dungeon. It's not the most glorious dungeon. It's the Darkest Dungeon and its an f'n mess down there.

I wish you luck. Many will die, many will lose it all in your name. Can you carry the weight of a thousand failed adventures? Will your sanity be able to withstand the pressures and horrors of pressing on when the entirety of existence seems hell bent on your demise? Time will tell.

10/10

Mad Max is legit. Dont' worry about it being another Batman, and honestly - **** the Polygon review.... Giving this game a 5 is like saying that Shadow of Mordor and Batman were both piles of poo and be real, those games were sick. Especially Mordor.

What I like about this game so far is that graphical style (people calling the color pallette bland are lame, the desert looks awesome - sandstorms, mindblowing). The fluidity in the animations is great and Max's movements in the world are very lifelike. I love how he is always checking his back. Little touches like that pulled me into the Mad Max universe, and I'm going to be honest - I have no ****ing clue about anything Mad Max. I will learn more and go watch the flicks because of this gem. To me that is a win for Avalanche and the Mad Max game on many fronts!

Interested in checking out the game and hearing me be amazed in real time? Me neither, but for what it's worth:
