I played a lot of Il2-1946 (before it even became 1946). That game had its faults but was good fun. This however, is not a game.

Pros:
+ Useful if you have a giant hard disk and want to fill it up a bit more.

Cons:
- Not compatible with recent versions of Windows.
- There is a community patch (not a developer patch!), but I still couldn't get it to work on Windows 10.
- When I played it (briefly) on Windows 7, the game actually felt and looked worse than Il2-1946.
- This game was abandoned during development and patches stopped shortly after release, so is quite buggy.

If you have an urge to play, just grab Il2-1946. It has a lot more planes. And it actually runs.
