It is a chore to even try to have fun in this game. Every time I come back to it, I think "Oh maybe if I do this differently, Ill have more fun!" but every time im woefully disappointed. I try to do different things, but nothing makes me actually feel cool. I go in for a hit, and some stupid animation plays that ends up killing the NPC because it was too violent for the physics to handle.

I literally can just punch an NPC, and their physics will ♥♥♥♥ up their animations and vice versa. I think we can all agree the AI is terrible, but the animations are not good either. The combat is fine i guess, i like the gore and the weapons and how they feel in my hands. They feel real and the environments are beautiful, seriously ive never seen a VR game with such great level design and atmosphere.

But atmosphere doesnt trump the poor Ai, animations, and combat of this game. Not to mention crystal hunt, i do not gaf about crystal hunt at all. I tried it, but the ai is so stupid that i dont even want to play more levels. Once you have played one level, you have played basically all of them.

But to be honest, I feel like booting up the game just to look at the level design. Its really amazing what they have done with the exploration and beauty of all these places. Not to mention the seamless procedurally generated rooms.

But anyways, the game leaves many things to be desired. I personally dont think its something that Id buy if I knew what the game fully entailed, but its worth a shot for anyone who is interested. I would just pirate it first, then buy it afterwards.
