After playing AC1 in 2007, AC2 in 2009, and Black Flag in 2013, we asked Ubisoft many times to set an Assassin game in Japan. NOW, More than a decade later after we all forgot about it for years and then we had our fill of it in Ghost of Tsushima, Yasuke Simulator is here to deliver! This is a 10/10, no, 11/10, no no no, an IGN special of 14/10!!!

I just CANT get over how historically accurate this game is. Back in 2008 when I imagined what an AC game in Japan could be, THIS IS it! Don't listen to the haters, you WILL experience historically accurate gay romance at every broken down door/shrine with every they/them in 1512! You will feel like you are right there in History when Chamillionaire's hit Japanese song "Ridin Dirty" plays on Spotify while you ram your Bently into a crowd of Yonobo clan canon fodder. Romance EVERY Man you can find until you reach the final romance level of the Emperor's married daughter! Defile her and then step outside for a smoke, never to return, 100% accuracy! I really enjoyed the amazing voice acting, the attention to detail, and the fact that you can be the long awaited / requested black samurai. My favorite quest by far is "Break the Japanese things to open gate", we NEED achievements for whomever can break the most Japanese things!

If anyone criticizes this game in any way, shape, or form, just say you don't "HAVE" to play it and accuse them of being an ist or a phobe! Thankfully the entire company isn't riding on it's success... right?

EDIT: STEAM DECK CONFIRMED, it runs at solid 60fps on my Steam Deck!

Great game, feels unfinished: Play with an xbox controller.

I was a huge fan of the Spider-man 2 Movie game for PS2, and this game brings back some of that nostalgia. The web swinging is great, the graphics look good when cranked and theres a whole city to explore. I absolutely needed an xbox controller to play this game, I didn't like the PC controls. The controls take a while to get used to, but start to feel more fluid as you go, I still have issues with the webrush ability, I always end up going where i dont want to go, but I hardly used it anyways. The combat system is like a blend of Force unleashed, Batman, and the countering is alot like Shadow of Mordor. The story is dangerously short, I completed it in just a few hours, and the game doesn't really have a main goal. I won't spoil anything, but it feels like you are getting to a climax part of the game, and then suddenly it just chills out, then you think, okay whas left? And it begins to introduce a new bad guy and your like "Heck yeah, this is going to be sweet", but then the game just kind of ends with a wimpy fight. The Boss fights were all kind of meh, once you figure out what to do, they were too easy.

All in all, if you can get this game on sale for 15$ it might be worth it, so I will give it a recommended, I feel like the developers had alot of great ideas, the comat system is addicting, and it has that same open-city spider-man 2 feel. It was just plain too short, mayb the developers got pinched on time?
