Weak storyline that bets all of it's worth on shock value, extremelly easy gameplay with bosses being unable to hit you as long as you circlestrafe, 3h of gameplay at maximum and that is with collectibles.
The game hardly has any proper worldbuilding, so only few enemies and areas have any context within it. It feels empty and disjointed, small, yet messy. It's not awful, but is just not worth someone's time when there are much better alternatives all around

Will try to keep it short and concise not to spoil much

This game is everything Hexen ever wanted to be. Honestly though, calling Hedon just a throwback boomer shooter is somewhat disrespectful to what this game is. It may lack polish of many other games in the genre, but it makes up for it in spades with how much detail and thought is put into the worldbuilding and map complexity. Combat is fast paced and varied, with an alternative "class" based on melee/throwable weapons.

The puzzles are engaging and fun, but at times may stop you dead in tracks for a long time, however, they are fair and if one spends their time with the world and actually pays attention to what is happening around them (including some note reading and NPC dialogues) solutions will always eventually come to you. The maps themselves are extremely well made, becoming more open and interactive later into the game, even working in clusters of maps where you go back and forth between them

Though the art style of the game might not be for everyone, I can assure you, that there is so much to the gameplay of Hedon, that it is honestly worth going into even if you find it off-putting - you'll get used to visuals at some point and won't be missing out on a unique game that offers you about 20 hours of gameplay (if you chose a fitting difficulty and do some secret hunting without a guide)
