I am writing under the strong impression of my first gaming addiction: Pharaoh, from 1999. At that time I was about 12 years old and was looking for the game. Contrary to what many would think, however, it is not just a childhood memory; I still play this classic from time to time.

That was also the reason I bought Nebuchadnezzar. It exuded that pharaoh flair in the trailers. Now you can think what you like about the games of that time, but they have aged gracefully. Although Nebuchadnezzar offers the game in 4k, the animations and "details" are rather blurry. For me, the speed at which the houses rise felt too fast. This may have been an (intentional) effect of the tutorial. The logistics could become exciting in the later campaigns, but didn't really convince me until the introduction of the caravan. The fact that the workers of the market can be planned with a route is certainly more advanced than placing a barge at that time, but I didn't understand the depth. As a feature, it was too shallow to add any depth to the game, so it seemed more like a necessity that you had to deal with. I played the game until the fourth campaign.
