Hogwarts Legacy is a visually beautiful game. Exploring the vast countryside and castle continually reveals small details that you missed before, which does a good job immersing you at Hogwarts.

The story is solid, but nothing special or new. It does feel rather cyclic as you slowly progress and get to explore more of the map. There are so many characters that you meet, however the small number that are important are generally well developed.

The combat experience was disappointing. It's not bad, but it's nothing innovative. There should have been enhancements like magic items that can be found or purchased from stores that curtail combat to a style of play; this would have added more to the game's collection beyond cosmetics. There also should be a reputation system like RDR2 based on what spells you use and the choices you make with characters.

Overall, the game was fun and is a great way to experience the HP universe. Probably a better buy on sale, but still worth the price.
