Remastered version of the first Half-Life. It's very well done, but is still in early access, so it's not quite completed yet. For that reason I would have to suggest not picking it up at full price, but if you see it on sale go ahead and get it, especially if you've never played the original Half-Life.

Everyone knows what Half-Life 2 is, and if you're looking at reviews that means you haven't played it. Well, you should. Even if you feel like this isn't your type of game it's one of the few gaming classics that everyone needs to play at some point, if for no other reason than to see the effect it had on the industry. And I know this is a pretty generic thing to say while talking about Half-Life, but you will be genuinely sad that there isn't a third game. The story is great and you will crave more after you're done. So go on, it's only $10. You won't regret it.

As a disclaimer, I haven't put much time into this game nor have I come anywhere close to beating it, but I figured I'd recommend it since I do enjoy it.
Heavy Bullets is a rogue-lite game where you progress through floors while killing monsters and trying not to die. The gimmick is that you can pick up your bullets after you fire them. This makes it so you go into each fight with a very limited amount of ammo, so you need to place your shots well. This can be hard when you get jumped by something hiding in a bush and start to panic fire. It's difficult, but very well designed and feels fair. When I die I know that it was because I messed up or wasn't paying attention. There is permadeath, but you can save some of the money you get in each run in your bank. I also love the atheistic of the game with all the neon colors.
I feel like I've only scratched the surface of the game, and would say that it's worth the $10 they're asking for. But do keep a look out for the game going on sale as it seems to do that quite often.

Jackbox Party Pack is one of the few games that anyone can play and enjoy. I play it with my family and my friends. I personally prefer the third Jackbox to this one, but it's still great. I'll go over each of the games and my thoughts on them.

Fibbage 2
This is a great game where you're given a question and everyone types in an incorrect answer. Everyone's answers show up along with the true one. You take a guess and if your answer is correct you get points. If not, the people who gave the answer your chose gets points. One of the best games of the pack.

Earwax
This is one of the less competitive/serious games of the pack. A scenario is given and one player is selected to be the judge. Everyone else picks two sounds that would best go along with the scenario. The judge then picks their favorite. It's fairly simple, but can give a good few laughs. My only problem with this is that for me it got old pretty quick, but it's still a good one to try out.

Bidiots
I love this one. It's very similar to the board game Masterpiece for those who have played it. At the start of the game each player draws art which is then assigned a random value which no one knows. Players will be given chances to bid on other pieces of art and they will be given hints by art experts on what is valuable. For example, an expert might hint that a painting of a bowl is what they're looking for, so if you see the painting they're talking about you'll know to bid high. Because everyone gets different hints it gives a good element of strategy to the game. The artists also get a percentage of the final bid on any of their paintings, which gives them a reason to try to drive the price up. But if they end up buying their own artwork they get no money in return. This is my personal favorite of the pack, but most people I've played it with don't feel the same way. I couldn't tell you why, but that is something to keep in mind.

Quiplash XL
I haven't played this one much, as I got kind of tired of Quiplash after the first Jackbox. It's a fairly simple game where two players are given the same prompt and try to give their best and funniest answers. The audience then votes on who they think did better. This game is best with larger groups of people, at least 5+. It's also the best game to play if you're streaming Jackbox on Twitch. It's not bad with the right group of people, but not one I'm a big fan of.

Bomb Corp.
This is the only cooperative game in the pack. You work with the other players and communicate the information you have on your devices to try to disarm bombs before they go off. It's very similar to Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. It is a very fun game, but keep in mind that it does have an actual ending. You can play randomized levels for infinite content, but the premade levels are finite. Also, don't just buy Jackbox if you're interested in this game. While it is fun, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes simply does it better.

Seeing as the third Jackbox is out now, I would recommend that if it's your first time buying a Jackbox game, but if this is on sale pick it up.

Her Story is a mystery game where you go through short video clips and take keywords from those clips to search and find new clips. You can only see the top 5 results from any search, so you have to wade through the clips and piece the stories together to figure out what the next keyword is. The clips are done in the style of police interviews, with the overarching goal being to try to find out who committed a murder. Along the way you learn the intricacies of the woman being interviewed. To top it off, the game has a great ending that gives you more insight into what was going on.
Onto the value of the game. The game is $6 USD and took me about 2 hours to complete. I dislike judging a game just by how long it takes, but that is pretty short. If the game looks interesting to you I'd say it's worth it at full price, and if not just wait for a sale. Also keep an eye on the Humble Bundle store, as the game goes on sale quite frequently on there.
If you plan to play this game do yourself a favor and don't look up any gameplay. The less you know going into it the more you're enjoy it.

Short, but totally worth the tiny amount of money they're asking. My only recommendation is to not buy the special edition DLC until you play the base game all the way through and really want more. It's just a "prototype" of the game, with all the scenes but re-enacted by one guy with a bunch of dolls and stuff. It's still worth playing, but don't expect too much.

This game was released in 2012, but is still as good as if not better than Arkham Knight. If you really care about playing the Arkham story from the start, go ahead and play Arkham Asylum, but otherwise start with this masterpiece.

She sings Never Gonna Give You Up when she answers a pager. Instantly the best DLC in the game.
Seriously, I love Sydney's character. Great voice acting and some hilarious lines. The perk deck is alright and I use the butterfly knife in stealth just because it's fun to run around watching the animation while waiting for a drill. The gun isn't great, but go buy a weapon pack if you want good guns.
Everything about this pack is subjective, but I love it so I will wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a character pack.

Seriously, this game is amazing, assuming you can actually get the voice commands to work. I had to fiddle with it for a while, but they seem to be working now. Good story, great concept, awesome voice acting, and an amazing sound track.

You get to hear Alfred say "Crazy ass ninjas". 10/10
