This game is fantastic. Its almost a second job and it melts your brain, but it is fantastic. Go in as blind as you can!

The Entropy Centre does a good job of scratching that Portal itch that you get every now and then. It sets out with an interesting core mechanic and iterates on it well, and importantly doesn't overstay its welcome, leading to a (slightly less than satisfying) conclusion in under 10 hours. If I had to complain about anything, its that the puzzle design doesn't really evolve that much. There are new elements added, for sure, but the puzzles themselves don't really evolve beyond the core concept of "get the box to the last place it needs to be, then move it to the first place, rewind as needed."

Helldivers 2 is, without hyperbole, the most fun I've had in multiplayer in years. I cannot emphasize enough how much I have enjoyed this game, it is a fantastic breath of fresh air in a sea of excessive grind and exploitative monetization. On top of all that, The community is wonderful, generally helpful to each other, and friendly.

Most importantly, they work together. The massive spike of negative reviews from the past few days was because Sony pushed to make linking a PSN account mandatory for all players, PC and PS5. This locked a lot of players who had already bought and enjoyed the game out of playing the game they had already paid for due to their region. Sony has reversed this decision in large part due to the public outcry against it.

Risk of Rain Returns is a triumphant return to the original, with a fresh look and some small gameplay updates that make for a fantastic improvements. It does fall into the category of "new games that replace the old version," but I don't think that's an inherently bad thing, particularly when the original was excellent to begin with and this brings it to a new audience ten years later.

I had a feeling that this game would take some getting used to, but that I would ultimately enjoy it. That was, for me at least, exactly what happened. This is the most fun I have ever had with a rhythm game. The music is amazing, the guns are satisfying, everything works together to create a great experience. My only issues with the game are that the visual style can make it hard to tell what is where and who's shooting at you, but that is a factor of the art choices and frankly is a minor issue for me, and that it is fairly easy to become hilariously overpowered. Several powerups totally break the game and trivialize the normally high difficulty.

This is the kind of game that is not kind. Not in the Dark Souls way, where there is a boss the size of a skyscraper trying to turn you into a fine red paste, but in the bullet hell kinda way. There is a lot going on, and one wrong move and the run is over. Its long, grindy, and fun as hell. Great on your own or with friends. Great on easy or the hardest settings. And for 20 bucks, you could do a lot worse.

I tried to enjoy this game, but about an hour in, I feel the game is relying too heavily on quick time events, button mash events, and player intuition on out of the ordinary segments. additionally, the game caused my computer to have to be restarted.

I really like this game. There is lots of creativity, and I have barely scratched the surface in terms of what there is to do. That said, I have several issues with it.

1: Lag issues. I find that when mining, I create lots of debris that really bogs down the game. even when I set the game so it only allows 16 floating items, it becomes nearly unplayable while mining with a large ship.

2: Confusing material transfering mechanics. I tend to make 2 small ships early on, one with 3 grinders, and one with 3 welders. The issue is that components do not go freely from one to the other, even when I allign the ports on the storage blocks.

3: Load times. It takes 5-10 minutes to load a world sometimes. That is simply unacceptable.

Overall, very good game, but some major bugs persist.
