To be fair...
You have to have a very high IQ to understand the Codex Astartes. The tactics and doctrines are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of strategy most battle manuvers will go over a typical Space Marine’s head. There’s also Gulliman's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his splitting of Legions into Chapters- his personal philosophy draws heavily from the devastation of the Horus Heresy. The Codex Compliant Chapters understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this book, to realise that they’re not just guidelines- they say something deep about SPACE MARINES. As a consequence chapters who dislike the Codex Astartes truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the tactical genius in Indrick Boreal's existential catchphrase “TEH CODEX ASTARTES NEHMS THIS MEHNUVAH STEEHL RHEIN,” which itself is a cryptic reference to the Blood Raven's campaign on Tartarus. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Robute Guilliman’s genius strategies unfolds itself on their dataslates. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have an Ultramarines tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for my Battle Brothers’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 chromosomal deviancies of my own gene seed (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
