Deus Ex was one of the very few games I went into without knowing a THING about it.
When i first got into it I really didn't think i would've gotten myself immersed into right away due to the age, but holy jesus was I wrong!

Deus Ex was made by a company known as Ion Storm ,Yes the same people who made Daikatana, and to come from that to this beauty of a game is amazing, The graphics are dated sure, but the audio design and music REALLY keep it up to today's standards. Coming from a game made in 2000 the voice acting is really good, even down right hilarious at times when the jokes pop up and the music, GOODNESS the music! its something that really takes my 1st place surpassing that of Doom.
The mixture of Techno and classical is a beautiful combonation that everyone should listen too! from the high-tech offices of UNATCO to the desolate streets of a worn-down Paris, it all sounds so pleasing to your ears.

Now, down to the real meat of this game, the Story (no spoilers) and Gameplay.

Deus Ex's story is handsdown one of the best I have experienced in a long time, rivaling that of Half-Life 2. the Multi-Choice endings are perfect on how it makes the player feel with the end result. the game can even let you kill off most of the story-important NPCS right off the bat and it seems like the whole story shifts around your actions. Dont expect a short playthrough with this game either, it took me a good 24 hours to beat it while looking in all of the corners of the maps to find secrets and hidden areas.

Gameplay wise, Deus Ex is a great experience, the combat system is totally unique and intuitive and the Inventory system is done really well and the Nano-augs you can get really shift on how you build your character and progress through the game.

the Skills system is a bit basic sure, but it will make you choose which you feel is more important, and trust me putting it all into Pistols and Rifles is something you DO NOT want to do first thing with each level offering on how efficient your character uses said items. It's always best to put points into the skills that help you rack up more ammo and supplies.

In Conclusion

Deus Ex is a down right masterpiece and it down right deserves to be called the "Greatest PC game of all time" in my books, everything about this game is done so right and if one can mod it so it works with modern machines, your in for one heck of a good time!
