Darwin Project is a fresh take on all the lack luster Battle Royale Games that are currently hyped up.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is super smooth and rewards players of skill and knowledge of the game, no RNG loot spawns. You must craft upgrades by farming materials-Wood-Leather-Electronics. These allow you to craft things such as Arrows, Armor, Axe damage, ETC...
Darwin project is a survival battle royale, the survival element comes to play when your character gets cold after an amount of time, you must craft a fire to warm yourself up. I've seen so many new players die to the cold damage because they did not know about this mechanic.
There is no HItscan on the bow and arrow meaning that the arrow has a travel time in the air opposed to the arrow instantly impacting your target, this allows for a higher skill gap when it comes to the PvP.
Electronics will drop randomly or the director will manually place one in the center of one of the five zones. Having electronics is very important when it comes to endgame because when you get an electronic you have the option to craft 1 of your 3 equiped special abilities such as Turret, Teleport, Invincibilty, ETC... The electronic is a great mechanic in the game because it encourages players to get into fights because they are very valuable so you might see several players going to the middle of a particular zone to try and get the Electronic. All in All the electronic rewards a more mobile play style and punishes players for being passive.
Graphics:
The graphics are great and are even reasonable on low.
My specs are: AMD FX 6300, GTX 1060 16GB, 16 GB Ram
I usually get a 80-90 fps on low settings although it does not feel very consistent at all times, this may be because the game is in Early Access, but it is definently partly due to the fact that my AMD FX 6300 is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trashcan.
Proxy Chat:
Proxy Chat makes the game so much more enjoyble because you cant talk to your opponent, taunt, team up (although teaming is not condoned so if you do chose to team up for a short amount of time I would reccomend to fight eachother soon after opposed to going and Double Teaming someone as that will result in a ban).
Director:
You must be level 10 before being eligible to play as the director. By level 10 you will know what the director does so I don't think it is necessary that I explain it.
