Early Access Review
Day One: Figured out that Radiation hurts. So do bullets. Oh, and Wolves, Bears, Snow and Water. Realised my genitals were out, and incredibly detailed. Died more than I lived, so made a friend join me before I did something incredibly smart like put my sleeping bag underwater.

Base One: 10 Hours to build, Up in mountains for sneaky stealth, 10 minutes to get rocketed to the ground.

Base Two: 8 Hours to build, close to new arch enemy crew, logged off for the night, woke up naked on a beach.

Base Three: Swam to an Island away from danger, Recruited people from the server who shared equal distaste for Arch Enemies, Became 7 Strong. 20 hours in, we stealthed into enemies base of operations and by some strange twist of fate found their weapon & ammunition stockpiles, and managed to deauthorise them from building in their own base. Now we're just waiting for them to come online so we can laugh at them.

10/10 - would waste the first 30 hours of gameplay building and being blown up again.

Seriously though, BUY RUST. It's amazing. Every element of the game is great. Sure, it's like every other Early Access Survival game, but it's also SO MUCH MORE. Join a server close to you that's decently populated.

Learn the ropes, make friends (lol jks, they'll probably spear you in the back more than actually help you), Plan your base location strategically, make frantic nudie runs into radiation-plagued towns for precious blueprints and loot, Watch from afar to learn how your enemies operate, Mount full-scale warfare on them (While they're offline, No one in Rust likes a fair fight), and either Dance around naked in victory, or retreat to fight another day (provided you survive longer than 10 minutes, and manage to limp away with your gear and dignity still intact).

I've found it nigh on IMPOSSIBLE to get an early or good nights sleep since I first launched Rust. That was Friday, and It's now Friday again. I've injected 50 hours into the game in a week. I work full time. Rust is more important than real life. You'll definitely find yourself logging in to "Check up on the base" at 10pm and still be running around gathering resources and killing Nekkids at 8am (Welcome to me, last night).

Seriously, But the damn game. Watch me play it on youtube at eksalegaming.

Considering the skepticism I had in this game from various reviews, it's actually mad fun! Reminds me of TF2 (I think? Haven't played TF2 in ages).

Picked it up for less than what it actually costs through steam via the quakecon pack and have smashed out a few hours worth of game time since.

Recommended if you have money to splurge, if not - wait for a price drop and hope to higher powers that there is still an online community when that time comes!
