If you are dealing with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is the new launcher and are unable to use mods.
Keep in mind there is an alternative that is arguably better than even the original launcher prior.

There is no point in getting this game. Its never gonna be balanced until the end of its lifespan.

Ubisoft puts alot of focus on creating characters are the duel mode that almost no one plays, meaning they put less priority on balancing them for other gamemodes. Essentially they want duel mode to be the face of For Honor (probably because Esports) but its kind of useless, because everyone is already playing dominion, and if you want to get into a duel, good luck ♥♥♥♥♥♥, you'd be better spending your time just watching paint dry, because queue times for anything other than dominion will at least require an hour or two to find one match.

And even after finding a match you have to deal with more waiting because some guy is running For Honor on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ smart fridge so you not only have to wait an hour to find a match but wait another hour to actually load in.

Heroes are not created equal, buffing or adding OP heroes and unnecessarily nerfing others is common for this game, especially when its the new Year X heroes where it takes a year to nerf/rework them, even then the reworks are sometimes just underwhelming, like "we just made his lights faster" or "he/she has hyperarmour on this now". which isn't just disappointing sometimes but can really just piss you off. All the new heroes are just unfun to play against and aren't even that aesthetically pleasing. New heroes like Hitokiri with unlimited hyperarmor can really just ruin your experience, same with Jorm's punch and bash light spams.

( Its Convenient how once the year pass is over they get "balanced" )

This game is just in a sad place and it took me way to long to realise this. Avoid getting into this game because it wont reward you in the long run.



Extra: Remember when Ubisoft released the season pass then stealth changed it to a year 1 pass, I 'member

Its a fun game has a lot of potential but it feels like its dead in the water with a dwindling playerbase and lack of support.

The aspect of creating your own moveset is pretty cool and gives hours of time to produce different combos, i'd love to experiment more with this system if they hopefully add more weapons and moves. This could really be something but it seems they might have given up on it in my opinion.
