I bumped on this game while going through my queue and found it kind of interesting. "Majestic Nights" had that "Hotline Miami" vibe with a different approach. Slower paced and more focused on narrative. Well, it's not like it matters now because the game was released in 2014 and as of today, August 12th 2017, only two episodes have been released. Official announcements from the dev are nowhere to be seen and the game isn't going forward. If it ever gets finished, probably will take a few more years and it's not that good to make the wait worth it.

The Beginner's Guide é um jogo com foco narrativo de um dos criadores de The Stanley Parable. De similaridades só há o destaque para a narrativa, pois todo o resto do jogo mostra uma pegada bem diferente. Longe da loucura de The Stanley Parable, este jogo conta a história de Davey Wreden e Coda, dois desenvolvedores de jogos que se tornaram amigos e mais do que isso: como os jogos de Coda impactaram a vida do próprio Davey.

A premissa parece direta ao ponto, mas ela vai muito além disso quando os jogos feitos por Coda são acompanhados de uma narração agradável e objetiva. Enquanto o jogador passa pelas criações bizarras de Coda, Davey comenta elas e dá uma luz interessante sobre seu amigo, sua relação com ele e até sobre ele mesmo. Curto, direto ao ponto e muito profundo, The Beginner's Guide é uma experiência com pouco potencial para frustração.

Inovador ou não, The Beginner's Guide é o famoso walking simulator: um jogo com foco na história, onde mais se anda e absorve o enredo que qualquer outra coisa. Não é um jogo bonito ou longo, a alma do negócio aqui é um roteiro muito bem escrito, que apresenta uma história supostamente simples, mas que tem um valor metafórico respeitável. Não deixo de recomendar nem mesmo aos que não gostam muito do gênero, pois é uma experiência curta e com grandes chances de agradar.

While this is certainly a trip through nostalgia, it also has a modern feel about it. Being an RPG, most of the players that will really enjoy the experience are those that appreciate investing hours, days, and sometimes whole months on finding out the secrets of a game. Pillars of Eternity captures the essence of classic RPGs like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate while having a totally fresh take on the subject.

Of course, some things of old are there, such as the isometric vison, pre rendered scenarios, and frequent mouse use. But while those only add to the nostalgia factor, things such as detailed character models, an orchestrated soundtrack and general graphic improvements only make it all better. Add that to great writing and dedication of the Obsidian team, and the result is a wonderful gaming experience, especially unique among the RPGs being released today.

Great game with a very interesting lore, wide variety of scenarios, characters, and especially quests. There are many Quests that I wish that would be deeper, the story behind them is kind of flat. But, the story of the city of Baldur's Gate, the main pltoline and how it develops is really amazing. There's a huge variety of characters that can join your party, from the Devil to God himself, and even the new ones that were added are very interesting, along with the new quests that involve them. The gameplay itself is very different from modern RPGs, but it is completely playable nowadays. The strategic aspect of the combat is very good and when you manage to master a combat situation it is a very satisfying feeling. It also has a few minor additions as new character portraits, revisited cutscenes and some tweaks to the overall looks of the game.

Clássico! Vale mais a pena rejogar pela nostalgia, porque deu uma leve envelhecida.

Jogo Multiplayer que não dá pra jogar o Multiplayer.

Grande jogo, ótima pedida pra quem gosta de RPG medieval.
