If I do ignore you, just follow me (use the "more" drop down box on the profile), it's the same thing just without private messaging. I'll most likely add you if: you commented on my work and I commented back, you rate up my work and I somehow see it, share same passions (E.g. Blender), associate with any of my followed creators or if I comment on your profile or content. I most likely won't friend you myself, you're going to have to send a friend request if you actually want to have a chance of being my friend.
