This game is very relaxed and more of an abstract space exploration experience. The challenges posed to you are either management related(time vs money vs option limitations) or in space, the abstract puzzles requiring solving. Either way, I like it very much. Can get tedious at times though, especially with the more complex missions.

I've followed this game for a while now, it's very fun to play if you're into these sort of survival/resource management type games. Usually multiple ways to solve an issue, and solving an issue usually presents another one(gain power, but also get CO2 and/or heat), keeping you interested throughout.

All of your problems usually have an early, mid and late game solution, up to the point where you can watch your almost-automatically functional base thrive. Then you try and get more people and everyone dies so no one will be able to cook and the remaining people die of hunger or disease.

I like this game. Up until now we've had a couple of good game mechanics lying around, like the amazing combat fluidity of the new Batman series or the straightforward collectible gathering of Assassin's Creed. Now we have a good mix of the two and to add, a game to bring justice to the LOTR world's string of bad games.

The nemesis system is really cool. The story is... well it's cliché, but at least it keeps you interested.

Buy this if you want to experience fluid combat and humiliate orcs.
Don't buy this if you don't like the LOTR world in particular, Sméagol, british english-speaking villains or Assassin's Creed/Batman.
