***It should be noted that an LMG and sniper are now available in the base game, but this pack should still be considered***

This pack should be considered not because of the quantity of content, but rather the potential it offers, by that I mean it offers both a sniper and a LMG, so you get two weapon classes (or at least a weapon of these categories) that are both locked behind a DLC of their own available to try.

Here is my impression of these firearms:

The Broomstick Pistol:
This is a pistol, not a lot else to say, but this weapon seems to be quite powerful in the hands of a pistol enthusiast (having perks related to pistols), with a decent base concealment rating, it's kind of sad to see no mods supporting the concealability of this weapon, despite this, it's array of mods can be seen as somewhat questionable (high damage or accuracy oriented, pick one of them).

It should be worth noting that tactical reloading (reloading while still having ammo in the clip) is nearly useless as it takes around the same amount of time regardless, which can be considered long to some people.

The Patchett L2A1

Perhaps the one I found the strangest, being the strongest in terms of raw damage, while this one has more mods unique to it than the broomstick, it seems wonky to use (visual recoil is the main culprit here), being versatile in terms of usage makes it great for different scenarios (either a stealth/semi-stealth or high accuracy and stability build).

Despite it's visual recoil and low rate of fire, the gun is a blast to use, fun to sweep a room with.

Mosin Nagant
Possibly my favourite of the sniper rifles, having the possibility to remove the scope and use it as a rifle, this beast managed to win the title of the most concealable weapon in it's class (Sniper rifles), this thing can be dangerous if given to a heister who wishes to give old man dozer next door a message, while not being as powerful as some of one of the snipers, it's still a weapon to consider bringing if accuracy is your forte, reload speed is the same, no tactical realoading on that one.

The Buzzsaw 42
Terrifying to look at, especially at the receiving end of it, this piece of ancient weaponry is a meat grinder (deserving of it's name: Buzzsaw), capable of firing extremely quickly (quicker than the Clarion from Gage assault pack) with a great damage output, but all of this comes at a price, this weapon is inaccurate and unstable, meaning you shots need to count or use skills and mods to help ease the problem, overall fun to use, I'm sure one of you will enjoy bringing this bad boy to show old man Dozer whose lawn he's stepping on.

Masks, materials and patterns
This pack comes with four masks based on historical figures (or at least three of them are), Constable is Charles de Gaulle, the Old Blood and Guts is based on George S. Patton, the British Bulldog is based on Winston Churchill and the Red Bear is perhaps a personification of Soviet Russia.

As for the materials, all of them have a distinct style to it, from red and grey to a simple army green, this pack has some of my favourites in terms of materials, although some may not be great for good mask customization.

Patterns are... well... a bit of a questionable mix, out of all the 4, I only managed to find use of 2 correctly, quite a downer to see these patterns, while looking great, don't look so great on some masks.

Do I recommend this pack?
With all the things this pack has to offer, I can say that for those who are uncertain on which one to pick, this one would be a good choice, not for the masks only, not for the weapons, but for the great selection of weaponry, going in more diverse routes than just SMGs or Assault Rifles.

Keep that old Dozer away from you.

PS: I know I didn't include the melee weapons, but that is because I couldn't find something to say about them.

When I first bought this game in a sale (Holiday 2013 sale if I remember), I thought the game was less than decent, but that was simply because I didn't put enough time in playing it and more on comparing it to Minecraft.

The game is similar to Minecraft in which you are tossed in a world in which you collect ressources for your survival amongst other things, this is as close as Minecraft as it can be, the rest of the game consist of fighting bosses, some of which are based on a Lovecraftean creation, finding machines allowing for room decorations along with different NPCs, each with their own looks and usage.

This game is not flawless, though, as the game can be repetitive and tedious, this happens when mining for a specific ressource, dieing with a normalcore character or fishing for the Angler NPC. The graphics, while not really important, has this pixelated feel to it, I don't mind, but some others may consider it a turn off.

As for the soundtrack, it is awesome but gets annoying, especially early in the game, where you are too frail to even go out and fight zombies, but with the freedom of adventure, you can land in a few biomes in which you can like the song.

Last issue I have with this game is that it can get boring or difficult alone, I only played a few times with friends and I got to admit, it is fun, which makes boss fights easier, exploring more fun and the experience better overall, but it made the solo experience somewhat feel empty afterwards, then again it's not hard to take your pickaxe and dig for ressources "just in case" they do come back.

In short
+Great bosses
+Exploration is greatly rewarded ( Yup, even the sky )
+Great online experience with friends
+NPCs to help you by selling you items or offering services (such as heal you or show the corruption status of your world)
-Game can be repetitive at times
-Loosing loot can be teethgratingly frustrating (normalcore and hardcore only, softcore is only currency)
-Music can be somewhat hard to tolerate in the begining

Result: 8.5/10, Great

Recommended? Defenitely, wether you explore for treasures or a monster hunter, this game may be for you.

EDIT: with the 1.3 update, this game just got a lot more content. I still haven't seen everything in the patch (I read the changelog, I just haven't experienced it in-game yet) and so far, I will change my rating from 8.5 to a 9.0.
