great game, but what's on steam is a demo. you need to buy the full game through an in-game micro transaction.

I honestly wouldn't really give this a second thought normally, questionable, predatory, but sure. but all things considered; like the whole lawsuit, and reputation of being shady at best, and the fact you still needed to wait 72 hours for the full game to unlock after purchasing before they removed that after player... feedback. it kinda stacks up to be more and more shady and as of now I can't really recommend actually buying the game, just because you might loose your money, or new features may be introduced that may end up being locked behind similar paywalls stacking up the cost just to be able to play the full game, with no chance of any kind of refund since you are buying in game currency and with that you are buying the actual game, instead of buying the game with money straight away.

if you have an existing account you are out of luck:
Wargaming won't let you log in through the steam version, acting like it's a compatibility issue with the game itself, while all the logins are handled by launchers in both non-steam and steam versions. so they are either really incompetent or more likely just want to avoid any percentage of in-game purchases from veteran players going to steam, by forcing them to either keep using the wargaming launcher or loose all progress.
honestly it wouldn't surprise me if next update brought down the ammount of earned XP per battle to further motivate people to not start over and / or buy premium.

seriously, why even bother making a steam version if you are not going to allow people to use their old accounts

bruh / 10, just go play Warthunder, same grind more fun and you get all the wargaming games in a single one, this sh*t's been the final nail in the coffin for me tbh
