I just finished this game, so here are my thoughts on it!

This game sat in my Steam library for a long time, but I decided to start it when the Witcher 3 came out. I'm very glad I did. From the moment the Salamandra invade Kaer Morhen, I was already hooked. The combat timing works really wel and I felt accomplished doing it, as I wasn't repeatedly mashing buttons over and over again. The story is absolutely fantastic. There are lots of plot points throughout the game that are intertwined, and you finally finish a quest right before the credits that I think is given at the end of the prologue. It's quests like that that really impressed me.

There was always something to do in The Witcher, and I missed a lot of side quests because I wanted to complete the the story. So there was a lot more content that I didn't explore. If I ever play through it again, that's what I'll try to do! The decisions you make throughout the game also have a huge effect on what happens, and you explore Geralt's character throughout the whole thing too. Geralt was really badass but it also felt like he was learning a lot about himself, which I guess he was, with amnesia and all.

Anyway, I recommend this game highly. It's a very solid RPG. I've heard the sequels are even better, so I'm excited. On to the Witcher 2!

I discovered the original in 2006, when it was already four years old. I never looked back. The campaign suckered me in, and the neat mythological gameplay only hooked me further. I played the campaign over and over again, to the point where I can still recite each mission's objective. Don't be fooled by Steam hours, I've put a lot of time into this game.

I had disconnected since then, for one reason or another. But last year I found myself itching for a remake. Updated graphics and Steam multiplayer? Yes, please! But, I wasn't convinced that it would ever happen.

And then...one day...on a Twitch stream...there it was. Age of Mythology: Extended Edition.

I tried the PAX demo (which you can find in Load Scenario) and it hooked me in again. I won a bandana and a pin, which was freaking amazing. The price tag is kinda steep, so I picked it up on sale. Worth it.

In terms of single player, there is a lot to offer. The original campaign is here, the Titans campaign is here, and a little bonus campaign called the Golden Gift. There's also battles against AI opponents, which has a large variety of maps to choose from.

EDIT: I've tried multiplayer again. It seems to work now, albeit a bit slowly. If you're really into the game, you may find this irritating. It's alright with me. The connection works well and online is a lot of fun!

There's also the scenario editor, which I understand more now. I remember playing with it when I was younger, but I don't remember understanding any of it. You can make your own custom scenarios, maps, even campaigns. It's really awesome, but you're going to have to dedicate a lot of time to make your map just right.

In terms of the gameplay, for those who don't know, you get to choose between twelve major gods in four different civilizations. You then get to worship minor gods to advance through the ages. Each of those will give you different upgrades and bonuses. You collect food, wood, gold, and favor (a new resource) to train an army and build a city. Favor gets you myth units, which are recognizable creatures from these mythologies. It's a really nice touch. This is the only game where you can train a group of Cyclopes to siege a city. There's a lot of variety to it.

The visuals are astounding compared to the original. There are other neat little features in the game, but I'll let you discover them for yourself.

Overall, I still think this game deserved a 10/10. If you're an AoE fan, buy it! A RTS fan, buy it! A mythology fan, buy it! Really...you should just buy it!

SCORE- 10/10 (I'm a little biased, but I think this game deserved it.)

PROS
-Long single-player campaign
-Scenario editor
-Myth units
-Prostagma!

CONS
-Online multiplayer speed
-Not that many new features

Also, I think I said once that I would sell my first-born child for a sequel to this game. That offer is still up in the air. I'm not sure if a sequel would be done right at this point, however.

Bastion is an absolutely beautiful game. From the moment you start playing, the artistic style sticks out. The narrator is badass. The story is well-crafted. It does all of these in the first five minutes. That alone made me continue playing the game, and I wasn't disappointed with what I found. The game is short, only about five or six hours, but there's a lot of extra content that you can explore, such as the weapon training grounds.

If you're looking for a story, this is the game for you. No spoilers, but the game ends with some choices you have to make, and you have to think long and hard about these choices, because that's how much the game had an effect on you.

Buy this game. You won't regret it.

It's really fun to grab a bunch of friends and play through this game. Every minute of this adventure is a blast because of the creative levels, boss fights, and multiplayer modes. (All You Can Quaff, why do you almost destroy my hands?) There are lots of unlockables, giving the game replay value, and I'm SO CLOSE to getting all weapons and all animal orbs. It's hard! I'd say give this one a go, definitely try to get your friends to play it with you, and prepare to spend hours upon hours crashing some castles!

I definitely recommend this one. This game has BY FAR the weirdest cast of characters I've ever seen and a very solid storyline. Raz is the main character, who wants to become a Psychonaut. He's right there on the cover. This is probably just me, but this game is HARD. I've found it very difficult and I'm still not very far in. Maybe that's because I suck, but this game doesn't, so play it.

This game is AMAZING! A hugely underrated arcade shooter! You play as Oculus, a one-eyed ball who has to roll and shoot his way through ten amazing campaign levels! This game is so good, and you should get it! At $5, it's worth every cent!

Fun but challenging puzzle game. Good storyline, hard puzzles, and then there's Wheatley...
