But how do you make sure the message goes to the right monkey’s tree? You need an address for that monkey’s tree so you don’t end up sending it to the wrong place.
An IP address is like that address for the tree. It's a special number that helps computers (and monkeys, if they had computers!) know where to send information. Just like how your tree has a unique spot in the jungle, each computer or device has a unique IP address so it can get the right messages!
