Crashing a lot

9/10, but wait for at least 25% sale.

This is not Sekiro like or Dark souls like or Bloodborne like. This is Lies of P and you have to approach it like a different game. I wish the parry window was a couple frames wider OR started a little earlier.

Also wish they split the story in two, puppet frenzy for first part and alchemy stuff for next part like Remnant FTA and II.

Go to Settings > Camera/Mouse sensitivity > Max it out

There is a strong but linear learning curve for controls for new players (i'm a new player)

Runs well on my 6650 XT @ 2K.

Disclaimer: This review only addresses performance. It does not have any gameplay comments and this is subject to change in near future based on how much more I play this game.

I only have like two hours in, and I was getting like 27-30fps on highest settings with my 1050 Ti @ 2K res. No stutters so far, no crashes either. Controller did not work straight away though, had to mess around steam settings to get it to work.

TL;DR: Beautifully designed game with great graphics, sound, and gameplay. Won’t play it over and over like Dark Souls.

Graphics: 9.5/10
Graphics are amazing. Never saw a glitch, texture error, or ambient/particle effect issue. Didn't like the particle effects much at some places so a 9.5

Sound: 10/10
I encountered some audio bugs where dialogues won’t complete and would skip to the next one. Some sound fx cuts too, where I'd lose complete fx for two-three seconds with only BGM playing. Otherwise the music, sound effects and the track selection makes it a 10/10.

Gameplay: 8/10
I am playing this on the recommended difficulty. The game is not as difficult to categorise it as “souls-like”. Shooting in this game feels great. You may run low on ammo early game but you keep it back getting after resting/killing enemies so the game does not encourage melee combat much for a lotta boss/quest exclusive melee weapons. Almost all non-boss creatures are melee and you are ranged. Map sucks. It does not rotate with your character, and climbing two steps of a stair changes the ♥♥♥♥ing radar entirely, as if you are on a new floor of a tower. And in some places, going up/down two floors changes nothing. Opening the map in pause menu does not allow us to change floors, the only way to know if you have explored a certain part of the map which is above/below you is to go and check.

Bugs: Minimal, almost negligible.
Enemy combat bugs were more frequent with ranged enemies where they would throw weapons at me and stand still, accepting their death. Was fun nonetheless.

Souls-like: 6/10
You lose nothing on death, your ammo replenishes after resting on checkpoints, enemy waves can be cleared without being touched, and no boss (so far) have a second phase or two health bars. Multiple bosses do exist though.

I got this game for ₹865 on sale (down from ₹1440) and I would recommend this game if it goes on sale again.
