I’ve really enjoyed Ready or Not for a long time. It stood out as a tactical shooter that wasn’t afraid to dive into dark, realistic scenarios. The missions felt heavy, the atmosphere was tense, and the world of Los Suenos had weight to it—like you were stepping into a place where everything was falling apart and your role actually mattered.

But with the upcoming console release, Void Interactive has started making content changes across all platforms to meet console certification requirements. Things like:

• Limited dismemberment (which was already rare and mostly visual)
  
• Adjusted or removed disturbing imagery and evidence
  
• Nudity and certain elements being made “less obvious”
  
• Changes affecting both console and PC for the sake of crossplay parity
  
  They’ve said these are “minimal” or “purely visual,” but the overall direction feels like the game is being softened. And that’s disappointing for a title that originally leaned into portraying difficult, uncomfortable subjects with realism.
  
  Void built a reputation on not backing down from controversial content. They even self-published after being dropped by a previous publisher for including a school shooter map. That made a lot of players trust they were committed to their vision. So to see things now being scaled back for broader platform appeal feels like a step in the opposite direction.
  
  I still think the core gameplay is solid. But if the tone and themes are being watered down going forward, especially on PC too, it’s hard to stay fully on board.
