im (allegedly) cheating on my bf with the fish, im so addicted.

I don't usually write reviews for games because none of them really wow me enough to do so. However, I feel like I really should praise this one.

Usually this type of game isn't really my style. I'm more of an MMORPG type of player, and typically someone that doesn't enjoy playing RPGs by myself. However, BG3 has had me hooked, and I've mainly played solo thus far. I'm not very good at it, but making mistakes and/or dying doesn't ever frustrate me; almost every screw up ends up being hilarious in some way.

I admittedly rushed through the campaign for my first playthrough just because the main story in games is my main focus point. Every new thing that happened in the main story had me dying to know what happened next. I'm not patient, and BG3 actually allows you the freedom to rush, if you really want to.

Having finished the main story now, I feel very content with exploring every inch of this game from the beginning and taking my time, seeing what new things I can find, and what parts of the main story might be affected as a result.

The companion dialogue is one of my favorite parts of BG3. Seeing how different companions react to certain actions, or interact with each other, etc. is always interesting. The dialogue feels very natural. It adds a lot to the enjoyment of playing, in my opinion.

It's incredibly fascinating to see how vastly different everyone's journey in BG3 is. This game allows you so much freedom that I've yet to see ANYONE have the exact same experiences as someone else; that alone makes this game so damn amazing.

10/10 game. I'm excited to play more chaotic campaigns in my near future. Thank you, Larian.
