One of the best RTS out there
Old but more than Gold
Modern Devs should learn more from these Diamond classics games of old days

This Tropico is 2Steps forward and 3 step backwards.....

Not learning from the mistakes of previous tropico's
And cutting out good gameplay mechanics of previous Tropico's

There more i play this game, the less i enjoy it compared to ALL PREVIOUS Tropico's heck even Tropico 5 made longer Fun than this here...

Coming back from AoE 4, don't get me wrong AoE 4 is a fun game, but this game has so many technical issues even after nearly 1 year of release that i decided to refund AoE 4 and get back to AoE 2

AoE 2 is better in many many ways.

Please add a normal map editor besides of this , this one alone cannot be recommend for all.

Warning before you buy this product
I really want to love this game, and want to enjoy it, but all the technical issues are killing the fun out of me
You should now that this Game contains for now after nearly 1 year after release

Crashes , few bugs and glitches , A.I Pathfinding issues , in rare occasions gamebreaker bugs on Campaign (crash on specific mission) ,
A.I building too many villagers like a fanatic instead of military units -> Pop Size
balance issues (1v1 matches are balanced, but teammatches can become unbalanced depending on the Teamlineup and if the players can fully utilize it),
laggy interface sometimes ,
lagging chat with absurd delay of up to 30 seconds until your message is displayed in the chat.
Some mods will be downloaded every time you start the Game.
Awful ingame Mod Manager with no commentary section.

And editor that calls back to home (telemetry) and tend to crash/freeze during loading old mod works... making it impossible to finish your Mod and load it up

A.I is often enough acting plain stupid
A.I having sometimes Pathfinding issues
A.I spamming workers despite cheating wasting 40-50%+ of the Cap slots to workers, then not having enough military to fight properly.
A.I placing too many TC's on places where it doesn't make any sense
A.I trying to constantly flee during a outnumbered fight, leaving it ignoring my units and getting decimated, but if i flee instead despite being have more units, they start to following again, choosing to fight them, makes them flee again.......
A.I building docks ond massing ships on a map with a tiny river and building fishing ships in a tiny river without fish......
A.I struggles to fight properly near bridges

Maps with Water has a chance to negativly impact A.I's fighting capability.
the AoE4 a.i is actually quite worse...

Another great game

So far after 7 hours on steam (and several hours non-steam) i can clearly say if you like Settlement Buildings, this one is definetely a choice to go with.

First reason it's cheap, no really it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheap, paid 9,99 saleprice for it and it contains alot more content than you would expect for a game that costs around 13.

You should take the Survival in Settlement serious. That game clearly isn't easy, surviving an early game isn quite an easy task if you don't plan well.

The maps are quite small, but honestly i don't see any point in using a huge map if can't really fill the whole map in the first place.

It clearly has some issues that not everybody will like. Some call it unbalanced, not sure if it's unbalanced, but it's fits in the term of Survival.

Alot of decorations to build.

Graphic ain't the best, but ain't the ugliest aswell. It's functional and it works.

Interesting Trade System with Factions, reputations, and unlocking buildings mechanics.

So far i'm really enjoying the game for such a small price, i can fully recommend this game.
