One of those neutral reviews with a nudge towards negative.

First, difficulty. I know, as soon as someone includes that in their review theyre automatically a bad player. But i dont mean it as "oh im so overwhelmed idk what to do". No, i just dont feel like buffing myself up before combat. Its tedious and boring, so i dont. Not my type of playstyle. Other people will have actual problems with it though because it sends them 3 hours back in their savefile.

Secondly, BUGS. I have experienced a bunch of them. I do include poorly made scripts in this part as well.
Turn-Based combat is.. tough. Sometimes when you want to cast a spell, your character will just randomly move somewhere, and the game says "yeah you casted that spell just now, good job!" but you didnt. Its one of the most infuriating things i found about this game (besides my next point). (not this one) People walking at 1 km/h because you clicked the "Exit Map" button instead of next to it where they then walk at normal speed. Same goes for every single other interactive thing in the entire game btw. And thats just 2 points.

And my biggest problem (which is definitely a personal problem) is massive fear of missing out. Sure, that keeps a good replayability, but im not here to replay a 150hour game. At least not more than once or twice if i really need to. The romances are very complicated to pull off (basically impossible without a guide seeing as how many ways you can screw up, by opting for dialogue choices that would seem like the obvious romance options but arent)

The amount of time and patience consumed by either me looking things up or clearing out every little speck of the map is seriously tiring. I cant play this for more than 5 hours in one session. And even then i usually only do like 3 missions at most because at the same time im busy learning the system and optimizing my party in a way that i like them (Which i dont by the way). And whys that? Because you cant actually min-max anything the way you want, besides yourself.
Characters arent fully respeccable (you only respecc to the point where you got to recruit them, meaning they have a set base class) and cost hella money if you try yourself out a bit. (Repecc price increases by the base price everytime you use the service)
People will say "make a mercanery instead!" to which i say ♥♥♥♥ you let me enjoy the game the way i want to.
I will not indulge in the present of a puppet in my party just because i needed 2 of those strength points in dex on some character. They will defend this thesis with things like "thats just how theyre written, it would break their plot if you changed their class!" which i just cannot agree with. I dont want to be forced into anything and i personally think its bad game design.
Worst dev decision in the entire game in my opinion.

What im saying is, that i feel punished for trying to get everything out of this game. It is heavily time consuming, has you plan a ton, which often doesnt work out anyway. Even just googling a solution to your problem is such a tedious pain that youre better off just figuring it out yourself most of the time because either things have been patched, or the game is SO unclear about things that just no one can tell.
And then theres the all confusing actual gameplay. Why am i given the choice to take 4 gore and bite attacks on a barbarian, IF I CAN ONLY USE 2 AND NEVER MORE THAN THAT?!?!?!??!?!?!!??!??!?!?! FU

Right, i forgot positives. My FOMO takes almost all of that away thats why i forgot.
The characters are written with love, and the voice actors did a really good job. IMO nothing exceptional but i havent finished the game yet. Its a world where you can immerse yourself properly and feel good about it (as long as you ignore all the negative aspects).

The best thing about the entire game by far is 100% the choices you can make. You can be (almost) anything you want. A good samaritan who saves the world, or the pure evil that causes its downfall. Its honestly the only thing keeping me going, and its getting harder on me because (thanks FOMO) my demon waifu wont love me if im evil :(

This just scratches the surface.
Play at your own discretion.
Can only actually recommend to masochists.

Thanks for listerning to my ted talk

You know... my opinion was very, very split at first. The first bit of the game introduces you to characters you can pretty much only hate, which is something i can respect though. Thats not easy to do. Theyre noisy, selfish and arrogant through and through. But that also gave it a charm, you know, being the good samaritan that saves the world?
Playing through the story it became more and more enjoyable seeing how you character just doesnt care about other peoples negativity which holds a grand moral in my opinion. There was one point in the main story where i got seriously hooked and interested. That didnt last long though.
After having backtracked about 20 side quests before heading for the last story mission, which was one of the most tedious things i have ever done, i was ready for a grand finalé.. Only to have my hopes shattered, dragged through the mud and pissed on.
The writing for the final mission has to be the most laziest slob of BS i have ever witnessed in my whole life in gaming and im not overexaggerating. Everything you would´ve hoped would happen, didnt happen. In fact the opposite happened. These tedious people who constantly get you in trouble, setting up traps for you making you do their dirty work, TRYING TO KILL YOU OUTRIGHT and then what? They all ♥♥♥♥ off in peace and (probably) live happily ever after. And what about you? You, as the hero, of course stayed behind to deal with all the ♥♥♥♥ that been piled up on you since the first 5 minutes of the game. And you know whats the best part about it? That weapon you´ve been eying your entire playthrough, which is supposed to be your final heroic reward? Yeah, its bugged.
Buy Dead Island 1. Its actually enjoyable

The vibe the game gave me was a lot like Code:Vein, but it definitely felt way better.
I did experience 2 issues though..

First is performance. Yes this is a demo, not a release, i probably have a trash pc compared to others, but i had turned down the graphics to low/medium and Direct X12, which i use for all the current games. But it was only very partially, mostly in cutscenes and boss combat (especially the Demo´s final boss was very laggy)
Second is, that i just fear that assets will be reused. As i only played the demo just now though, i can not tell anything about how its going to be, but i will just say this: You may be compared to Code:Vein, but you´re better. Dont make the same mistakes!

BUT that didnt bother me, because the game felt amazing, the combat is insanely good, it feels fluent and you have a ton of options to opt yourself into your own playstyle.
Bosses (CAN) be challenging (I´ve only felt a difficulty increase in that final boss) so theres also the repetitive assets thing. Fighting the 4 same gorillas right off the bat feels pretty bad, and one just being bigger with 2 new moves ehhh i dont know.

But again, i have high hopes, the optics and the gameplay feel great and you should definitely give the demo a try before the game releases :)

If you, like me, are a true Tifa simp, and you mostly want to play this game because of her, like i did, then dont bother. Go on youtube and watch the story. The gameplay is not worth it, the combat system is absolutely ruthless and build for people with 200apm.
Its just genuinly bad, you have to switch between your party members like every 4 seconds to fight efficently, while i personally just wanna sit on my MC. The AI doesnt support you at all the way its supposed to. The only thing they do is occasionally heal you if you equip them for it. Got your only real ranged party member with you, whos supposed to clear turrets your melees cant reach? Well you´re in luck because he will stand around auto attacking the mobs youre already fighting. So youre forced to take care of the turrets yourself.

Oh and all the while there is no way to really mitigate the damage taken except by perfect dodging every single attack, which is impossible. It feels like if you would be in Dark Souls, surrounded by about 5 mobs, that deal 1/5 of your health in a hit, and you have to parry them simaltanously. Sounds dumb right? Because it is.

Seriously. If you´re not deep into Final Fantasy, and dont want to play this for nostalgia reasons, dont buy it. It is way overpriced, asking THREE FULL PRICED GAMES for ONE REMAKE??? What the hell is Square Enix smoking?

The literal only positive thing i have to say about this game is that it looks nice. Which as i said you can see on youtube

Really good looking characters hidden behind a paywall, season pass each year for a fighting game, i call bs.
Soul Calibur itself is great but if you even think about making yourself your own character without paying extra next to original game you´re gonna be dissapointed. Im not saying the original game outfits are complete trash, but they´re ♥♥♥♥. Just comparing to SCIV, you had over 400 items and what not, but here ? Yeah go ahead and buy the whole arsenal for just i dont know, 40€, making it 100€ for a complete game. Incredible.
(Im too pissed to get numbers hop off)

Okay, so i played tekken since my childhood. When tekken 7 got released i got quite hyped and bought it pretty much immediately.
+ The story is very short, but it never was the longest anyways so thats okay. We finally got the last pieces of the story. The fights in the story can be very easy, since we have the story helper, which let´s you spam some pretty decent combos. The last fights are somewhat tricky but aren´t the hardest.

Graphics are amazing in my opinion. If you like fancy effects this is your type of fighting game.

Learning a character can be tough, which is why i recommend looking for some tips on that char for easy combos and poking. Movement is very essential as well.

Character pool is okay with all the new additions. Some may not like the new faces, but there has to be change.

Now for the more annoying parts, but only if you want to play online.
- Matchmaking is kinda broken. Sometimes you get matched with equals. However (which in my case happens about 70% of the time) you get matched with people who have 100 or more wins on one character which goes up to 800 sometimes. That can make learning a new character really hard, when these people just stomp you into hell.

Connectivity is a real problem (personal expirience). Often when i play Online, i just get kicked out of the match even though it was completly smooth the whole time. Sure the opponent could just lose connection, that happens, but not 5 - 10 times a day. Another, not really connectivity problem is, which occurs even more often, that my game randomly crashes. I dont play ranked because of that anymore. I tried finding help about it, but nothing fixed it for me. It could be my computer but i highly doubt it, since only tekken ever crashes daily.

Overall, it´s a Tekken game. Personally my favourite yet. The only drawbacks, for me, are online. Still recommend buying it.
9/10
