It's fun! It took a little figuring out for the controls and settings, and learning how missions and engineer upgrades work, but I'm having fun scooting around the stars and scanning planets.
I highly recommend data delivery missions for beginners! Expansion data, courier, etc, they don't take up inventory and combat risk is generally low if you haven't figured out your hardpoint setup yet. You can rack up cash and get a better ship pretty fast.
Cargo delivery is one of my favorites. One time I delivered some biowaste and they offered me more than I brought along as one of the reward options to choose from. I think there's a few joke missions like that, particularly if the factions of the background simulation are at odds between stations, haha~

It's great fun! The variety of guns and upgrades leads to a lot of chaos and crazy runs, and I love flipping around. The areas and biomes that the arenas are in are pretty cool and diverse. Unfortunately though, the multiplayer only supports 3 crabs, and toward the end of a run if all 3 players have maxed out perks the game can get slightly laggy from the flashy, fast effects depending on your hardware and settings.

Fun, loved the journal and the placement of everything. Great game~

This is pretty fun. I love the setting and story, and the characters have that 'normal people' feel, really just interrupting their lives with the events of the game. She was busy being a homebody and suddenly has to do big stuff? That's a relatable character, despite her Tv.
I think the Watillas are my favorite.
A kind friend shared this with me back when I could barely play it on the pc I had, and I didn't have the know-how to appropriately adjust graphics settings. It runs great on this though, now. I think I almost beat it back then but now the cutscenes won't be so slow and janky. XDDD
