A decent arcade-y shooter that isn't too hard, even for a casual player.

Everybody get up, it's time to slam now.
We got a real jam going down.
WELCOME TO SPACE-'NAM!

Jokes aside, this game is one of, if not THE best thing to come out this year so far.
Update: Sony has since realised how undemocratic they were being and pulled back their efforts to force account-linking.

Winter update removed all online PVE options, making progression for casuals like me essentially impossible.
Do not waste your time with this over-hyped, under-developed waste of a multiplayer experience.

Campaign's pretty good, though.

At the time of writing - 1 full hour of playtime

If I had to describe Tunche in a sentence, it'd be "Castle Crashers, it's a Rogue-lite"
it's a tad more complicated than that, but that's what the rest of this review of for.

- Pros -
Good Visuals
Nice art-style
Well-rounded skill-tree system.
Hat Kid
Power-ups (Spirit cores, as this game calls them) feel strong and useful without being overpowered and breaking the game.
Bosses (Only beaten the first boss at the time of writing.) don't feel unfair, most of the time.
Not as punishing as other rogue-likes (Eg. Enter the Gungeon)

- Cons -
Lack of Enemy variety
Lack of difficulty-selection (As far as I'm aware, there is no easy, medium, hard, etc., many roguelikes have this issue for some reason.)
Certain enemy types can feel a bit tanky, especially if you're just starting out
Hitboxes on specific enemy AOE attacks feel a little janky at times.
Already feels a little grindy

To entirely fair to the developers, I am only an hour in and maybe these issues will become mute as I progress, but it is kinda discouraging.

I'm not gonna refund, as I can tell they actually put effort into this, unlike most people these days, but I would advise against buying it at full price, at least not until they do some tweaking.

This game has received a MARTEX RATING of:
7.5/10

TL;DR: Wait for a sale.

Deep Rock Galactic.... what can I say about this game that hasn't already been said a billion times?
Well, for starters, as somebody with arachnophobia, I still enjoy this game quite easily, the enemies don't seem to trigger anything in me, despite their insectiod/arachnid appearance.
The game also has a very comedic atmosphere, despite the deadly situations you commonly find yourself in, your characters treat the life-threatening circumstances they face on a regular basis as just another day on the job, only really reacting fearfully when some of the more dangerous bugs rear their ugly heads.

Overall, very fun game, would recommend to people who enjoy PVE shooters.

It's difficult to describe, just buy it, and I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Day 2 reveiw
Compared to payday 2, It's a nice breath of fresh air, if a bit empty, although I'm looking forward to the content they'll be adding later on.

This game... Jesus H. Christ, I love this game.
Nefarious is a game about being the bad guy, the big man, the BOSS, and it's your job to take over this damned planet while blasting apart every hero that stands in your way.
(If you want to go for the evil ending, that is)
You play as "Crow" a Super Villian who is willing to cross the line set by other villians to attain his goal, harvest royal energy from the world's monarchy and use that power for his doomsday device, the Doom Howitzer.

Stage music can be a bit bland at times, but the soundtrack is mostly solid, and I especially like the theme that plays on your personal Flag Ship, the Sovriegn.

The Boss battles are the most innovative I have ever seen, One fight, your swinging a wrecking ball at a Bee name Dash, another, your blasting your Arch-Enemy, Mack, with a gaint-ass laser attatched to a gaint mech.

Cant wait for a potential sequal.

To summerise, I strongly recomend this game, It's kinda short, but It's pretty good.

Over all, a good sandbox game, needs more construction options, though, 8/10, would use again.
