Early Access Review
Now actually playable after a really bumpy start into Early Acess.

Still needs a lot of work and polish, but the concept is very solid and super fun to play. Takes some getting used to and the servers are struggling A LOT currently, but the devs are very active and trying to improve performance nonstop.

Give it a try. The gameplay is super enjoyable and the customization options very impressive. It's the polish lovechild of ARMA and Battlefield (and a bit of CoD).

Left 4 Dead with a higher focus on Melee combat, different classes, talent trees, abilities and loot.

While the first Vermintide-game was already very fun, Fatshark managed to improve most, if not all aspects of the game for the sequel.
The game runs smoother than part 1, it looks better, the various classes add a higher level of diversity to your playstyle and core mechanics have been adjusted and expanded.
Since the closed beta and the preorder beta, Fatshark put in an incredibly amount of work, listening to user feedback and adjusting the game accordingly. If they maintain the same level of support, this game can be truly great.

While there still are issues (lack of votekick, restart of the map when the host leaves), I still highly suggest that you pick this game up. For the relatively low pricetag you get a AAA-quality game with tons of content and replayability (Dedicated servers and mod-support [Maybe even a map editor] have been confirmed and are being worked on), so if you are looking for a challenge, go and grab it!

Awesome and retro-feeling singleplayer. The story is present, but not overinflated and doesn't get in the way of mindless, fast shootyfun. It's the good old doom-style of shoot demons, acquire keycards and then shoot more demons. Very fast paced and rather challenging on higher difficulties. It's also full to the brim with eastereggs, collectibles and nods to other games. Very motivating to explore every last inch of the map.

Multiplayer is alright, but has some latency issues, resulting in long-range meleekills and other frustrating situations. Still a fun game to play every now and then.

SnapMap seems like a nice addition as well. Didn't mess around it myself yet, but it seems like talented people can make some really nice stuff. ;)

Overall totally worth the money for the singleplayer alone. MP and SnapMap are nice additions, but not the main selling point of DOOM.
