Stardock has effectively abandoned this in favour of their "v2" of Start11.

The right-click drop-down menu no longer works/displays if your taskbar is located at the top of the screen.

The advice from other (experienced) forum users was to buy Start11 v2.

It's not fun. The aliens are basic cannon fodder and not challenging or scary.

The sound design is bad. The guns sound weak and unsatisfying.

Overall, it's a disappointing game. I am glad Steam has refunds.

It's missing essential features and quality-of-life improvements. All too often, you can get kicked from your hosted lobby for no reason. Similarly, you cannot kick out toxic players and other irritants from your lobby.

The library of community-made mods is variable in terms of quality. The most popular mod, Clone Wars VR, is the only thing that makes this game worthwhile for me.

Sadly, it seems that this game's support may be abandoned in favour of the microtransaction-heavy Contractors: Showdown.

The crossplay with Meta is good because it means a larger overall player base. But it also means you're likely to encounter screeching children who are probably too young to use VR.

The best Watch Dogs campaign with the best urban jungle sandbox for online invasions.

Also runs and looks great on Steam Deck.

👎 I've not been able to get into low-ping sessions during peak and off-peak times in the UK.
👎 The game's performance is rubbish despite playing on a high-end rig.
👎 Offline play is not that fun because of the bad teammate AI.

I regret buying this game like I regret not buying more Bitcoin in 2010.

It could have potential, but it's not there yet.

Despite not having much playtime, I could tell within the first 10 minutes of gameplay that this game would not be fun, even with friends.

The gunplay and feedback are unsatisfying. Explosions have no depth or power. The enemies are boring. The map design is lacklustre, with poor signposting towards your current objective.

I may revisit this in the future. But, for now, it's been refunded.

Battlefield who?

BattleBit Remastered is the true successor to the classic Battlefield formula: cohesive team/squad play whilst playing the objective.

The game has proximity voice chat, which is always entertaining but especially useful when you need to ask for health/ammo from teammates outside your squad. You can also proximity voice chat with your enemies.

The maps feature tonnes of buildings and objects which can be destroyed. If a fence or wall is in the way, you can blow it up to clear a straight path to your goal.

There are 6 classes in total. Each class has its own arsenal of gadgets (specialised and general) and a limited selection of weapon and armour options.

The game runs extremely well on 127 v 127 player servers with no noticeable FPS drops on my native resolution (3440x1440).

Strongly recommended for Battlefield veterans who don't mind the charming LEGO-like graphics.

Disclaimer: I received keys for the game and bonus items after donating to the developers on Patreon. I previously played for about 47 hours on the pre-early access playtest.

Not as robust as other FPS VR games.

The gameplay's scope and variety is not as good as it should be.

Warzone / DMZ performance and stability review

Even with low graphics settings, the game runs at generally unacceptable framerates on a powerful PC.

Crashes are frequent and especially frustrating during DMZ sessions. Crashes can happen at any time during match load-ins, matches in progress, and post-match XP/reward screens.

For a triple-A game being sold at an inflated price, this is unacceptable.

Warzone / DMZ performance and stability review

There is currently no AMD FSR 2.0+ support.

If the devs are serious about making this game play well on a variety of hardware (not just high-end rigs), then they need to add FSR 2.0+ support asap.

My specs / resolution

3440x1440p
AMD Ryzen 3900X
Sapphire Nitro+ 6900 XT
32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3600MHz

Effectively in early access. Lots of work to be done.

If the host disconnects, the entire lobby freezes for a couple of minutes before getting kicked back to the main menu.

It's a terrible experience playing with screeching little gits. Many of whom try to act tough by whispering swear words so that their parents (or carers) can't hear them.
