Its better than when it released. I'm enjoying it. Not paying for the sub though. Nice try Todd. Other than that wastelanders is an update that came a bit too late, but is welcomed. I hope they can continue improving from here. If you got it from owning it before, please play it and try it out. If you are considering buying the game, please do your research. Would I recommend it for $40? Maybe. I've already played 10 hours and have had fun. I plan on sinking in some more time.

Early Access Review
This game and its developers have completely lost their mark. It has been months since we have had a relatively decent update and the developers have gone dark. The player base has currently dropped to under 50 players PEAK. This is unacceptable as you need 50 players to actually play. This game was full of promises and ended up all being empty promises. I wish I could have spent my money elsewhere. The developers have gone dark, there have been 0 updates to fix optimization and gameplay features. Do not purchase this game. Play a better royale. This one has died and most likely can never be risen again. Thanks for reading my review.

You know its sad when such a great game and series is being bent over by server issues. I absolutely hate it. A game with a main focus of multiplayer with some past iterations requiring multiplayer for High Rank hunts with server issues being this bad for this long is embarrasing. I played this game on xbox since release and the only main issues with multiplayer occured during the first week but it was fixed. It's been longer than that here on this platform. Let me review the game and you should be able to determine why I have a negative review here.

Monster Hunter: World content wise is an absolutely incredible game and taking into consideration all the past MH games this is the best MH game ever released. Many elements of the game are streamlined including the tracking, questing, and general hunting which in this case is one of the best things this series could have done to attract the western audience the way it has. The game is very gripping and can pull hours and hours away from you on the endless hunt and grind for better weapons and armor and eventually even more as you progress through the game. However an important element of the MH series is the multiplayer which has been absolutely terrible on PC. With little communication or information on the issues we have a measly 2 announcements from Capcom saying they are "Working on it" with valve. It's even beginning to screw with me because I enjoy doing end game content with friends and people online. Its how I've played every Monster Hunter prior. And to not be allowed to do that without major issues is beginning to turn me off from the PC version and making me want to head back to my HR250 character on xbox but I really don't want to do that. I want to play the version of the game that all my friends play on. I mean its a problem when 300000 people are playing and I can't find any body to play with. Terrible.

Not to mention how lightning weapons cause massive frame drops. I maintain 100 fps on custom setting at 1440p with a GTX 1080 and i7-6700k. Why does my game drop to 20fps when my buddy is using a lightning focused weapon? This is another issue with the game that needs to be addressed.

Also how the game has an issue with an endgame cutscene that has the chance of fully corrupting your save. No recovery available. You have to restart. Thankfully you can access your save game with ease and make backups. There are even scripts on reddit that autosave and backup for you. Please use those before you enter the final boss of the story. I dont want to see fellow hunters turned off by a corrupt save that makes you lose potentially 30+ hours of progress. Stay safe hunters.

These are just some of the issues that cause me to give a negative review. Once fixed you can fully expect a 10/10 from me. But even I must be a critic of my favorite game series.

Score until fixes: 4/10

Of course I will personally keep playing the game. I love this game. But for a potential buyer maybe wait out for a bit until these are fixed.

Edit

Game is fixed. Mucho fun

Amazing time killer and mouse only game to play. Love watching a podcast or listening to random youtube videos. Good depth too and massive replayability. Cant wait to see the updates to come

OUTDATED REVIEW: Right now at this moment the game is not in a playable state for my RX 480 8gb. While the games intro does run smooth right after the boss I suffer from a white screen "crash" rather than a crash to desktop.

What I recommend people try is move to the 17.3 driver or lower from the 17.2. I believe those are where the issues lie for us AMD users. All of my other Nvidia friends are running the game fine. I will update this review when I figure out a fix.

EDIT: 1

Fix found, use November drivers to remove white screen issues. I am now playing the game at the solid 60fps in borderless windowed mode and runs quite well. Will update review when finished with game.

The game is too damn short. It was a damn good game, but way too short for any actual RPG game.

So please note that there will be spoilers in this review.

Mass Effect 2 is one of those games you can see yourself grow up with. I first played this game on the Xbox 360 in 2010 when first released. It was new to me and wasnt a generic shooter. But I never fully comprehended the decisions aspect of this game, and resulted in me not caring about the consequences. Consider it being that I just wanted to skip the decisions and get to the combat. Now being that its 2014, and I have matured much since then, I wanted to give the game another chance and give it my best shot.

I purchased 1 and 2 on PC (The bundle) and launched 2 because I already beat 1. After playing it for a while, I was deeply involved in the decisions and actually disliked the combat. I wanted to make those high priority decisions, and wanted to strip combat out of the game. But then I noticed that combat was a catalyst to keep you playing. Without the combat, or without decisions, it would have been a generic game. Combat influenced what skills deserved the points from my leveling, what materials I should go hunting for next, what missions I decided to do. Some missions didnt even involve combat, you had to rely on either your diplomacy or force of words. Combat was indeed repetitive at times, but made the game what it was. It was the perfect mix of Action and RPG moments. Hense the phrase Action RPG.

Playing 2 again was a complete shock to me. I have never played a game that made me feel decisions had consequences down the road. Hell (SPOILER) The first quarian you find in the game that hit from the collectors at the human colony, shows up when you are doing the loyality mission for Tali and reacts based on what you did to him. If you gave him to Cerberus he will literally say you are the devil. And that was a good amount of time that passed from the first mission to Tali's loyalty mission. Every decision has a consequence, being good or bad.

Now I dont want to make this extremely long, but please if you have time, and you love RPG's, purchase this game. Just purchase it. Dont forget about the Space Hampster or fishees, feed them or you die.

Darksouls, where it all started for me. This game really changed my view on gaming. On how it really was becoming easy now a days to beat games. Anyways lets get started. I mostly played this game on Xbox because of the horrible port that came to steam. Come on From, you are better than that. I'm glad Darksouls 2 was a good one.

Darksouls is one of my favorite games. I have over 2000 hours on the game, and it consistently grows over time. I continue to go back to it, and happen to invest 100 hours worth of gameplay every time I go back. The game will grab you, and wont let you go until you complete what you want to in the game. I am a speedrunner of this game, and my best run was 59:57. I have never tried so hard at a game. It really required perfection, the amound of restarts that were needed was crazy.

The bosses in the game really grab you in unlike the new game. The music is very original, and fits like the last puzzle in a set. Bosses are all unique, and if you go deeper into the lore, you find out some really awesome things about each one. The bosses are all challenging at first, and give you a run into hell every now and again. Please make sure you prepare to die, you need to have a mental mindset that you are indeed going to die, and you need to learn from those deaths. You raging out is failure, not death.

PVP could have been better, but still, it was really badass. This is something the second game does much better, but could have only been achieved because of this game. Again the only problem I found with PVP are the people who exploit or hack. It ruins the game, and makes people actually want to stop playing it forever. But hey, you cannot control people, so they will do as they please, which is really pathetic of those people to do that.

I need to bring up something specific to this version on the PC. Its really bad. The port was almost as bad as Fallout 3 for PC. That game actually works once you mess with compatability settings, but for this game, you need to really use mods to make the game atleast playable, and you should invest in a controller so you can fully play the game with little trouble control wise. The PC controls are pathetic and surely were not looked at to see if it would be good enough for a PC release. There are mods to fix that, but i recommend against it, it may help, it may make it even worse. Its unpredictable. One mod you really will need is called dsfix, which fixes a majority of the games problems, and makes it somewhat playable. Please look that up and get it asap.

Overall this game was my favorite one in the series. It was just very epic, and very forfilling to beat. I played it mostly on Xbox, But I have played it on PC and beaten it to make sure it was actually playable. I did speedruns on here and it was not as easy as it was on xbox.
