Early Access Review
Hell yeah. Griftlands is a beauty. Still in early access at time of writing, with only 2 of the planned 3 characters available to play as, but the gameplay is stellar.
The world is immersive, the combat and negotiation systems (underpinned by excellent deck-building options) shine extremely well, and it all melds together so wonderfully, you'll want to do it again and again. And you will.
Griftlands includes a Prestige system, so the difficulty never stops building, pushing you to get better and play smarter. Finally, in the current experimental build, Daily Runs have just been added, allowing for a varied and fresh way to play.
Griftlands is the rogue-like you never knew you needed, but here it is.
The Knack 2 of deck-building rogue-like RPGs, babyyyyyyyyyyy.

An immersive glimpse into a believably realised world in the not too distant future.
Neo Cab has it's perspective turned to the small scale of everyday life. You meet only a handful of characters are you ferry people around from place to place, but you get to know them intimately. What are their daily struggles and their transient thoughts? Where do these people take a stand? These characters are deeply colourful, but also closely relatable too, written as imperfect humans.
Throughout, Neo Cab has a focus on emotion; on how we can control our own emotional state, how it can control us, and how both emotional resilience and intensity can affect our relationships.
There are a million micropoints to pour over with Neo Cab, because its beauty is in the minutia of its design. It strives to the complicated details of ordinary life.
I love Neo Cab, and I am BEGGING for a continuation of its world. It's a privilege to live there for a time.
