An amazing game that was abandoned by the developers well before the end of its lifecycle, and whose remaining community, for the most part, not only doesn't care about trying to keep the game alive, they chase away most new players through cancerous behavior(exploiting, hacking, or just abusing bad map designs to spawncamp).

For almost 4000 hours of playtime over the span of seven years and two accounts, I definitely got my $15 worth, but outside of a couple good, but dying servers, there aren't many reasons to still play this now sadly.

There’s nothing left to experience, thanks to the devs. If someone bought the game today they would get zero enjoyment out of it, because everything that made the game fun and unique is dead and gone.

Crazy to give a down vote to a game you have enjoyed enough to play 4000 hours in... 7 8 9 years and you say they abandoned the game? just seems like kinda mean down vote. With a down vote you are saying people should not experience i guess 4000 hours of your not fun play for $15?

@SilverCenturion There is a lot that can be done with the source engine, just look at csgo. And yeah, if ISS was a true successor to the Insurgency series then fine. But it's not. Sandstorm is completely different and in many ways abandons what made the original Insurgency so great, what NWI did with this franchise is simply disappointing.

@SilverCenturion "what do you want them to do with the old source engine game they made nearly 10 years ago?" make new maps for it to keep the game alive, or iron out whatever bugs are left over :gman:
