ENLIST TODAY!!! FOR DEMOCRACY!!!

Core gameplay and mechanics are solid. Clocked in 100+ hours even with only 8 heists and being a bit disappointed in the overall quality of the game at release.

After about 100 hours I started to play less, because the game didn't have that much content and doing same heists like 30+ times got boring. But since I played Payday 2 when it launched, I have a good reference point on how much the game can improve and get more content. So I will most likely be playing hundreds of more hours in the future when there is more variety in heists!

Anyway... Since patch 1.0.2 was a very positive surprise considering how abysmal the first 2 months were. It would seem that they can finally focus on improving the game instead of struggling with critical issues. So I finally wanted to post a review.

Note that the game does still require some work on the UI and the menus. It also lacks some pretty important features for an online game, if you for example want to play with random people. But the devs do listen to the community and are working hard to improve things, so I have very much faith that many of issues will be gone in few months.


Is it worth the money:
- For me? Absolutely :)
- For a solo-player? Probably not at the moment.
- For a group of friends? Yes

Liked the first Risk of Rain, but wasn't too keen on the 3D world. Decided not to buy. Finally ended buying it from a discount. Ended up playing 40+ hours in the first week.

At first it seemed just a decent 3d shooter / roguelite game. Then I got my first 100+ item run and realized the potential of stacking items. Unlocked artifacts that made gaining items easier and just started having fun by creating characters that could wipe out every living thing on a planet just by running around.

There is lots of things to unlock. Characters, items and artifacts (modifiers that can make the game harder or easier)

I really like this game... It's addictive and I'm not yet ready for rehab.

Bought it as a joke.... what have I done...
