Early Access Review
VRChat actively protects pedophiles on the platform.

VRChat is infested with pedophiles and erotic roleplaying weirdos.

If you have children, do not allow them to play this game, there is a large chance predators will engage with them and VRChat's moderation team will do nothing to stop them.

I had an awareness group on a user named AnimeCatTherian, who was exposed as an active pedophile on the platform with evidence [drive.google.com] to back up the claims. My group was taken down, a 7 day ban was issued, and the predator was left on the platform with no action taken against them.

The fact that VRChat had the audacity to take down an awareness group that was trying to warn users of a predator lurking on the platform rather than taking action against the predator herself leaves me with the impression they do more work to actively protect predators and pedos on this game than they do trying to stop them. Do not let your kids play this game.

SM2 and XLabs died for this piece of garbage.

Everything with this game is miserable, the SBMM, the performance, the updates, the P2W skins and now the rumors that buying bundles directly impacts matchmaking.

Playing this game is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miserable, both alone and with friends.

This game's state and Activision's C&D of SM2 & XLabs, and now the DDOSing exploits in Cold War, have made me lose all hope that CoD will ever be in a good standing again. Activision is clearly more worried about CoD's quarterly profits than actually making a quality and fully completed product that fans would actually enjoy. There is no place for hardcore fans / CoD veterans in this franchise anymore.

Don't even bother getting this or MWIII / whatever the next CoD is. You're much better off either switching to XDefiant when it releases or going back to the older games.. OH WAIT YOU CAN'T. Just quit CoD at this point. You'll save yourself the headache of yearly garbage releases.

I love how Activision tried to rebrand the game's store page to hide negative reviews just for it to backfire and get even more negative reviews.

Some of the best memories I've had in gaming were the days playing Halo 3 with friends after school.

Being able to relive those days on PC, with Workshop support and support for custom backgrounds, a custom games browser, the Forge maps players made from Xbox 360, and with updates that added additional content and cosmetics to the original games is more than I could've ever asked for.

Playing this brings me back to the good days of gaming. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I miss the Xbox 360 days so much. :<

DO NOT BUY, REPORT TO STEAM

MW2 IS EXPOSED TO VULNERABILITY CVE-2018-20817 [nvd.nist.gov] & VULNERABILITY CVE-2018-10718 [nvd.nist.gov]

Since Activision killed off XLabs, and Plutonium next on the chopping block, there is no safe way to play this game or any other Classic CoD on PC anymore.

MW2 is exposed to CVE-2018-20817 and CVE-2018-10718, two massive security flaws allowing hackers to execute Remote Code Executions and gain direct control of your PC to upload malicious files just by playing online and matching with them ingame as well as send malicious code as packets. CVE-2018-20817 is in every Classic Call Of Duty from CoD 4 up to Infinite Warfare, possibly even Black Ops 4.

Infinity Ward has taken the servers offline as of 7/27/23 due to RCE Exploits spreading malware through matchmaking. Since ♥♥♥♥ is still dead, the safest method to play this is on Xbox Series X|S through backwards compatibility or Xbox 360 since the servers on this platform have been fixed. You'll still match with modders, but you'll at least be protected from malware.

If Activision won't consistently update these games, and won't let the community fix them, they need to be taken off the store. This and the rest of the Classic CoD Games are practically malware at this point with the lack of updates.

If Steam ends up taking down the National Vulnerability Database links for the vulnerabilities, just search CVE-2018-20817 and CVE-2018-10718 for more information on the exploits.

TLDR: XLabs is dead. Don't buy or play multiplayer, you risk being ratted and having your PC controlled or info stolen from RCEs just by playing online. If you absolutely must play this, buy it on Xbox.

DO NOT BUY, ♥♥♥♥ ACTIVISION

POTENTIALLY EXPOSED TO VULNERABILITY CVE-2018-20817 [nvd.nist.gov]

With XLabs being killed off by Activision, there is no safe way to play this game. Activision wants you to completely forget about their legacy and go play their newest game and buy tons of bundles.

MWR is exposed to CVE-2018-20817, a massive security risk allowing hackers to execute Remote Code Executions and gain control of your PC to upload malicious files just by playing online and matching with them ingame, nearly exactly like it happens with Black Ops 2, 3 and every other Classic CoD from 2007 - 2018. While H1 is still around for now, it's likely going to be taken down not long after Plutonium goes. The game itself also suffers major issues outside of the vulnerability, including an issue where the game will not launch unless set to windowed in safe mode.

Although H1 seems to have survived Activision's cease and desist onslaught, the multiplayer servers are almost always dead even with the client. I would have recommended buying this for SM², but of course that got C&D'd as well.

Activision also C&D'd H2M that would've remastered the MW2 Multiplayer, shutting the project down the day after the game's sale ended and the day before release, taking advantage of users buying the game for the mod and then kicking them in the teeth after they got our money.

If Activision won't consistently update these games, and won't let the community fix them, they need to be taken off the store. This and the rest of the Classic CoD Games are practically malware at this point with the lack of updates.

TLDR: Don't buy or play online, you risk being ratted and having your PC controlled or info stolen from RCEs by doing so. REFUND THIS GAME IF YOU BOUGHT IT FOR H2M, THE PROJECTS CANCELLED.
