don't bother, you'll be insta killed over and over and over and over again by someone 10X your level every single time you start up the game.

seriously though ♥♥♥♥ 1999 it's sooooo bad and i wish i could get the time i spent playing the mission back

First off.. don't get me wrong i love the game i love the setting, the execution, the look of it and i wish i could justify recommending it but i can't at this time.

So i first heard of this game a month or so ago from a friend and we recently decided to give it a try and we've had fun, but.. we've also run out of things to do or see... after our very FIRST session!

Sadly there isn't a whole lot to the game right now, i can count the enemies/creatures that are a threat on one hand and still have room to count the dungeons/levels. This is my main issue with the game, the lack of content.. and having seen no new content added since JULY! I cannot recommend the game since there are only so many hours i can spend running the same three dungeons against the only 2 threats in the game that you can't just carelessly walk away from...

TL;DR: Game is pretty good (a solid 7/10), only buy it at a discount though since we're most likely not getting any more content/updates and it sadly needs more content for the price they're asking..

Like other reviews say, the game isn't really finished... it doesn't feel finished and while you're playing it you can tell that there are some missing pieces.. there are many things that need to be fixed, added and changed but, BUT despite all of that it is a really good game and it's one of very few cases where i'd want a middle option, because i do not want to give it a 10/10 or a 0/10.

So it's incredibly fun, running around finding clues and runnig into dead ends only to find, remember or finally realise something that makes it all click leading you right to the killer.
On the other hand... sometimes you will sit there for hours having zero clues except a shoe size which could be a fifth of the city, only to raelise that it was from someone else, completely unrelated to the case/a cop and you now have nothing and you don't get new clues or an important object for a mission is just missing and you cannot complete it.

Game will sometimes run like crap which ruins it a bit, but most of the time it's fine!

Something i do hope gets added before they completely abandon the game is proper mod support, to allow players to support the game themselves, to create new content, new features and functions since the devs are happy with this half baked mess.

Incredible little game, i've had a whole lot of fun with it so far!

The game is steadily being updated! Still have some stuff that could be added but at the current rate it's only a matter of time!


8/10 - Great game to play alone or with friends, lots of fun! Some missing items, products and mechanics but things are being added quite quickly and every updated is just making it even better, super solid game and it's free so why not?!!

I was expecting Roblox/minecraft X Tarkov kind of extraction shooter but that's not what it is, and uhhh...

It's sadly not that fun, you do what you always do in MMORPGs and run back and forth 20 times doing fetch quests or get killed by a few people who are fully geared while you empty a mag into them only for their healthbar to not move and that's about it.

World is pretty big though but just feels so dead and boring like most other MMOs.
Doesn't look too bad either, MMOs just aren't that fun.

Edit: The game is actually just dead now so...

TL;DR: Game is actaully terribly unbalanced, nothing except PVP actually really matters and even then you'll just be stomped by fully geared teams that don't take damage.

1. Combat is just.. spam the same 2 buttons over and over again until the ai/player either collapses or your camera flies away, so that's really amazing.

2. Magic, spells and skills feel almost non-existant and the fact that some classes only get 2-3 while others get 5-6 skills is disappointing. some classes feel and seem absolutely awful and some shouldn't exist as separate things from other classes. Playing a mage/magic user doesn't feel good, you don't feel powerful when all you really get is a cool stick that does the same thing as all the other ones or a cool ball that is the exact same as all the other balls.

2.1. The two magic staves are kinda cool but makes playing a mage feel boring since you don't get anything new at all, having more elements or even just attack patterns would be incredible to make each staff feel unique, having additional or different effects/spells for the staves and orbs would make mages feel more powerful and fun since you aren't all clones of each other anymore.

3. Loot is horrible, you don't get anything useful at all and if you do it isn't for your class. Inventory window is kinda small and that makes it a bit slow to work but hey.. you can replace items in slots instead of being told that the slot is already in use so that's wonderful!

3.1. There is so little loot around and most of it is worthless, the few times i've found rare's so far have been disappointing, they don't feel better than a common, i never feel stronger for finding something "better" and they only serve to give me more craft materials.

4. Gear is just.. what is better and what isn't? why do i have to go between two things and read for a whole minute just to understand what changes, why dosn't it automatically compare your equipped item to whatever you hover over? also stop giving me soooo much info about the item with that tiny text, i'm already stressing over having to loot, sort my inventory all while death is around the corner, make the item and inventory window slightly larger and the item/stat text larger, or at least give players who want it an option to scale the inventory UI!

5. This is such a tiny thing but still! I'd appreciate having a button/tab at the top where i can access the stash because it took me a while to figure out that it was on TAB, since it doesn't say anywhere, same with skills you can put on others or yourself, never saw a thing that told me to press F to use it on myself (except afterwards in the description of the skill) while everything else is always in the bottom right.

6. Crafting almost feels useless, hopefully it'll get better and not just have the same kinda boring, edgy looking "heirloom" weapons, it'd be nice to have some variety in the gear you craft, to be able to make some more "standard/default" gear, instead of just having a permanent and extremely cheap unlock/upgrade.

7. Some enemies are just too small to hit reliably especially bugs but also goblins at times and some enemies are just too tanky for what they really are.

8. Thankfully i was wrong about this point, Solos queue with solos, duos with duos and so on.

9. balancing, it doesn't exist, nothing deals damage yet you get killed in three hits, you're lucky if get a hit in because that's all you'll ever do, you'll be hit twice and lose 75% of your health while the enemy is still at 90% after being hit with seven different things. everything and everyone counters everything. like.. seriously, don't even think about fighting anyone unless you've got full green MINIMUM!

Also the PvP is just trash until you get to about LVL. 15.. the tiny stat changes each level might not seem like much but those few points really make a difference once you get closer to max lvl

so idk.. when you're actually in a dencently balanced match then the PvP is wonderful because you'll most likely be fairly even when it comes to items and skill, but 95% of the time you'll just be stomped into the ground by someone with full blue gear that hits you twice and instantly sends you into the next match

Currently i think these are the main things that stick out to me, some sure are less important than others and like i've said.. the game will probably get updates and things will be worked on, added and removed.

Sooo you can barely play the game anymore unless you pay nearly €30 for the full game (which.. it's not worth, not even close), match/game power caps at 124 which means since i looted a lot of green last game and got up to 169 i'm not allowed to play anymore because i'm too strong, so either i start trashing all my equipment i've been working for or i just don't play anymore, those are my two choices, a full green and you're locked out of playing the game.

so that's it, i'm done giving this game chances, tarkov 2.0 ass game, forever stuck in cashgrab hell

okay game, pretty fun for a little bit.
Also just TWO updates in FIVE years, no communication at all, dev has abandoned the game once already and personally i will never touch another thing made by this person ever again, if i could i'd probably refund the game

Very funny, very silly game to play with friends, still not sure what impact equipment has on any of the numbers but it sure is fun shoving the boom mic into peoples faces when they talk and playing sound effects live to add to the chaos.

Can't wait to see more content added to it!

9/10 - very fun and silly, equipment probably does something but i'm not sure!
