I'll make this brief as I did enjoy playing through this game and thought it was alright.

Pros:
- Amazing Graphics even by today's standards
- Well Optimized PC Port!!! Was able to play in 2K Max Settings and still reach above 90+ fps for my FreeSync to kick in. (YES, I'M A FILTHY AMD USER, GO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BACK TO YOUR NVIDIA SOFTWARE ALWAYS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP LMFAO)
- Character Customization. Yo, I don't know what they were cooking in Bandi's studio with that ♥♥♥♥. A bunch of options to make your character unique, even though it's mostly presets BUT you can modify them to your liking.
- THE SOUNDTRACK.... IM A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SUCKER FOR OPERA SINGING AAAAAAAAAAAA
- The concept of the game overall + story (Even though I didn't really care for it, I thought it was still original enough to stand out)
-Co-op being a thing even though I didn't get to try it out! You still have the options of using NPC's as partners if you want, or not! Whatever floats your boat you lil' tryhard.
- KIND OF repetitive combat but it makes up for it with how different it is with the Blood Codes and the Gifts. (Idk, I'm not really much of a SOULS GAME FAN myself (Only Played DS3 and Elden Ring) but it felt good whenever you found out a good build to use)
- Io
- No seriously, I want to smash the ever living ♥♥♥♥ out of Io. She is very precious and wholesome.

Cons:
- The price of the game at the time of writing this. Seriously Bandi? $59.99 retail price in 2023 and the game was released almost 4 years ago at this point? Just get this game whenever it goes on sale in general please. I got the Deluxe Edition for $11.99 this past Summer Sale WITH the DLC included.
- The DLC. Mostly just there if you want to squeeze extra content out of the game beyond base game. Can pretty much be 30 mins to an hour of enjoyment since it really only adds re-skined enemies and 3 bosses. Can make up though with alternative outfits and more blood codes though. Also costs money by the way because why wouldn't some short dlc's cost money right?!
- The fact I lose Io in all 3 endings i want to die WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

- Kinda of a personal thing here, WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ DOES EVERYONE HAVE HUGE BONKERS. I WANT SOME VARIETY OF FLAT CHESTS AND ♥♥♥♥. SURE THERE WAS RIN, BUT THAT'S THE ONLY MF I CAN REMEMBER THAT TOTALLY DIDN'T HAVE THEIR CHEST SIZE MAXED OUT. I CAN'T WIN WITH ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ANIME DEVS BRO

Overall, I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite games in the vast library I have but I'd still recommend it if someone liked BIG ANIME BOOBAS + Dark Souls in a sense. Would play again in a couple of years just to experience all of it if I find it again.

Originally, when this game was announced to be a remake/remaster of the original Dead Space 1, I had lost all hope because of the massive flops the gaming industry was sending out left and right. Buggy, unfinished products that "will eventually get patched out in the future but we released this game now because of the hype/money haha ♥♥♥♥ you". To my surprise, my friend (who is also a Dead Space fan) informed me that the game actually ran good and was overall, a good experience. I decided to buy it after it released because I was really tempted on buying it, even though my expectations were low. I was wrong. The game graphically, was visually impressive. Now given that I was running on a funny AMD card, frames weren't all that good but I was having a more or less good general gaming experience on Medium settings with AMD FSR turned on. Everything else about this game, wow. I have to give props to the devs who were given the task of remaking this game because it generally felt great. I did get stutters here and there and some doors that I opened leading to empty spaces of voids, only to load in 2 seconds later, but the game does warn you the first time that you start up that the game might have some issues running off of a HDD instead of SSD which I fully acknowledge that and even thank the devs for making a warning in the first place. Now as you read earlier, I had a review already set in place for this game already basically stating that I was soft locked but thankfully, that was fixed so I didn't have to play the game all over again just to get to the same spot and POTENTIALLY experience the same issue. (Thanks devs!) Overall, this remake is a whole step up compared to the original and is a must buy for any Dead Space fan.


**ORIGINAL REVIEW**
I am currently loving this game right now, but there is a game breaking soft lock in Chapter 7 when you are tasked in "Finding the Admin's Rig" that is currently why I'm downvoting this game rn. The item itself doesn't spawn in as intended and even after going to the Bridge (which is technically the other side of the map from Mining) and going back to Mining, it's still not there. Please folks, ***DO NOT DO THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID AND MAKE MULTIPLE SAVES*** :) I will change this review once a update comes out or something idk

I already wrote a review for the original release of the game but I might as well repeat myself just in case. I'll make it short though since I already went into detail on the original. Basically this game was gifted to me as a birthday present in my childhood and I loved every single bit of it. The story, graphics, game-play aspects. Everything. It's one of those games you vividly remember enjoy playing and would love to go back again to the first time you played it just to experience it all over again. I loved playing through this new remastered version and I am now hyped for their announcement earlier this year of Crytek developing Crysis 4 now. Oh how far have we come...
