Imagine booking a luxury cruise only to find out it's a ghost ship helmed by creatures who missed their auditions for a horror flick. That's Prey in a nutshell. I signed up for a space adventure, but what I got was a masterclass in "jump scares 101" which turned my initial 6-hour tour on hard difficulty into a hide-and-seek championship with aliens.

I took a long break—let's call it "intermission"—because my bravery chip malfunctioned (or was never installed). But the call of curiosity was too strong! I returned, years later, armed with sheer stubbornness and a newfound respect for digital duct tape and wrenches.

27 hours of gameplay later (yep, I counted), I emerged victorious. Not only did I conquer my fears, but I also mastered the art of turning random space junk into useful gadgets. Prey isn’t just a game; it’s a DIY survival course with a side of existential dread.

Would recommend for anyone who likes their sci-fi served with a generous helping of suspense and a crash course in resource management. Just be prepared to jump at shadows and coffee mugs for a few days after.

Several years ago, my wife saw me getting killed over and over, whilst battling Monstro on the first floors, desperately trying to improve.
I eventually got better, and she eventually joined me. First as one of endless flying babies, and later on, thanks to the modding community, as all the other amazing characters of this game.
Together, we've played almost every day for the last 5 years.
We didn't even worry, that getting each and every achievement would tire us out, and surely it didn't.
This game, is hours well spend with loves ones and by yourself.

To put it simply, in my personal opinion, this is one of the absolute greatest games i have ever played.
10/10, would force a friend.

If you like Strategic card games, this is your game.

An entertaining timespender.
There's plenty of pay2win elements in the game, yet you are not forced as the majority of the game is single player.
would recommend for playing between bigger titles.

Playing casually, this game took me 13 hours to complete.

It's a great rogue-like with above average mechanics, and 80% of the people complaining about em' havent even beaten the second dungeon.

Story was mildly humorous, but not something you HAD to dive into.

This game was a breath of fresh air, and definetly recommended for players who need "something" between bigger titles.

I agree with the price, and i would even buy it again as a gift for a friend in the future.

For a rogue-lite i give this game 7/10.
But don't take my word for it.
Buy it yourself and try. It's worth it
